RB30-POWER Posted August 14, 2006 Share Posted August 14, 2006 sounds like its missing the memory backup. usually you would say a fuse, however if you checked them it must be a wiring fault. nuffsaid Posted August 14, 2006 Share Posted August 14, 2006 I had the same problem when I first had the car but it only happened once in a blue moon. Hasn't happened for a long long time now, I think the problem may be solved (knock on wood). I do remember replacing a fuse here and there as I found some items in the fuse box were hard-wired instead of using a fuse. mad082 Posted August 15, 2006 Share Posted August 15, 2006 it could be that the wiring has been messed with. it all should have a memory wire (a wire to the battery) which holds all the settings. otherwise it could be a capacitor that is dead. a capicitor holds a small amount of charge (like a battery) and if it isn't working then it will reset everything.
