i don't understand the offence in someone saying it's your boyfriends car

I mean, if my boyfriend had a skyline, I'd be cheering that I'd get to thrash someone elses car and not mine.

It just really ticks me off personally when guys assume that a female couldnt possibly own a skyline or any car for that matter with a bit of power. Not saying that the guys on here think like that but over the years I have heard it countless times and its just one of my pet hates. :)

ah well, screw them, you didn't buy it to get people syaing 'zomg chick in a skyline' so don't worry about it! I used to get slightly offended too.. but soon got over it! lol

haha, caine i wouldn't worry about not being able to drive mona's car, coz you know that'd mean you'd have to let her drive yours, and you know what she did to her car don't you lol.

i have huge RESPECTE for women i sports cars.

but really are there any AVAILABLE Ladies on in QLD that STILL own a Skyline?

And Caine, dont worry my bf isnt allowed to drive mine either - but that was more to make him buy his own and get rid of that Ford piece of crap! :)

Even if any of them were still single they wouldnt admit it due to the fact that their PM box would be filled with messages from desporados in 5 minutes flat! Hell even admitting you are a girl full stop is a brave move around these parts

Awwww, sorry Mona! I wasn't thinking clearly. All this sausage makes Anna go something something...

I also bought my car myself and I work on my own car also (Dads an Automive TAFE teacher and has taught me alot over the years) I even convinced my now bf to get rid of his XR8 and buy one. Previously have owned 2 S13's (Siliva & Sileighty) and an R32 GTR.

So you see females do own and drive their skylines and I absolutely HATE it when they call it my bf's car :wub:

I'm sorry there isn't enough room in here for 2 Anna's. Please leave.

      Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help and experienced opinions.  I have spent a lot of my life working on boats so I'm pretty good with fibreglass. I'll take everybody's advice in here;  I'll cut a little more of the 2nd layer away as it's a bit crunchy rust and also it's sitting high now. Then I'll wire brush it all a bit to get off anything loose, then I'll soak the bejesus out of it all in rust converter. I'll make sure to get a little hose piece and feed it into all the holes and gaps between the roof layers. Then I'll fibreglass up the holes.  Then I'll get a pallet of filler and mix it with 3 buckets of hardener and hope that is enough to build up the roof corner.  Does that sound sane? Is one type of filler better than others for this?

      My goals for it atm are to get it registered, respray and some mild power gains eventually... I picked up the car from an elderly gentleman near the border of NSW and VIC, its honestly a bit rough and looks like its been driven on a farm (because there was so much dirt underneath). Last week I dropped the subframe and emptied the old fuel out + added a new fuel pump (think the old one went bad from old fuel). Now I'm onto fixing a coolant leak at the rear of the engine + adding a new radiator as the old one is corroded. After that i have a new bumper, coils (as the old were leaking) and lots more

      Love this so much! Please post a photo when you have a bike on the trailer.  I was a little bit worried about having a tow bar on the Skyline, but having it hidden behind the number plate is genius
