Well one of the best events in the championship has been run and won. What a weekend. Perfect weather for both Saturday and Sunday in the Barossa Valley.

Scott Pedder won the heat saturday and then Steve Glenney took out the over all win.

There are some awesome stages on this event as you see from the pics, there are some huge jumps and great water splashes

Neal Bates Motorsport brought out one of the ex wrc Celicas to run as 0 car

The final round is in Melbourne on Sept 23 and 24th. If you want to see some real driving get out to the Forest to see these guys race

Definately agree with Ash. I think those are some of the best I have seen for car filling the lens and action at the same time. You should put the copyright on the pic as you are always generous enough to put it off the object. :D

Just looked at them all again, they really are amazing pics! The ones of the Service Area are superb especially.

I should grab that one of the VII - Mine too could like this with a small amount of air and an ascent!

I think we need to work out how to put a jump on the skidpan so we can get some cool hang time shots.

I wonder how balanced the GTR's would be in the air??

Now that would be cool to see a GTR with hang time

hey guys

yeah most of them were taken with D2x and 300mm f2.8 lens

Yep il be at DECA with the same set up, so put on a show on the skid pan for me

Pharrrk!! Nice camera @ 12.4 mega-pixel.

Almost $7k for camera body alone.

I found out today that Navara's are pretty well balanced when they get jumped at 80kph in a paddock... :D:O It landed 4 square after travelling around 2 car lenghts in the air (judging by the untouched grass after the hump that I hit.)

In addition to the Navara jumping....

I found out recently that Landcruisers are pretty good at jumping in paddocks as well *looks at adam*.... You can get some really good air if you are going the right speed over the right size hump, I would suggest it would be much better if you remember to take the trolley jack and golf clubs out of the back though first! And too fast is not cool, the front end lands really hard and digs the bull bar into the ground.

HAHA

Bah - Landcruisers and Navaras...

Sure, Colin has been shoveling his works Nav through the Sahara a bit over the past few years

Until he binned it.

But there is only one true rally champ

Go team!

BTW - I asked Santa for this 'must have' accessory...

    • Hello everyone, I'm glad to join you.
    • Definitely do-able haha. I will give it a try if the fuel pump hanger does not solve the issue. Just need to find some quiet time in the area, Malta is like a big city and I live right next to the main hospital so it is very busy during the day. I'll be installing it in about 2 weeks, found a garage that is pretty knowledgeable and has the necessary tools. This garage has worked on multiple builds, even for competitions. They even asked me to stay with, so I should be fine.
    • Just to add, I found the r32 gtr ecu the most forgiving, the r33 one would get the shits.
    • For what it’s worth I drove my gtr for over a decade with gt-ss as a true daily after I pulled off the -5s, I had it engineered and went with stock ecu etc.  never skipped a beat.    I would only worry if you can’t get good fuel all the time in a tropical paradise
    • I bought an engine from a friend of a friend many years ago, it was sold to me as a RB25det Neo.    recently I started pulling it apart and noticed that the intake manifold was pretty different from others that I had seen on RB engines so did a bit of research and found that it was a non turbo manifold. So I’m sceptical now that it is a NEO DET and just thinking it’s a NEO DE (it does have a turbo strapped to it currently).    can you identify the engine model from the numbers on the block?
