Hi all,

Well i walked out to where my car was parked, and I can honestly say thet nothing prepares you for the moment when you stand gutted on the side of the road, staring at where your car should be, feeing completely lost. I know it wasnt the best skyline on the road, I was taking car of it tho, I have spent so many hours fixing her up...

So please can you keep an eye out for my car, its a black r32 gts4 with a primer grey boot and rear passenger side. It has all my work tools in it, and my wallet... and its not insured, they wouldnt insure it till the damage (caused by another asshole who tried to steal the wing) was fixed. If you see it, or know anything please call me on 0400 996522 I will be eternally grateful, thanks

Dave

Glad you got it back Dave, even if there is further damage.

Give me a yell if there is anything i can give you a hand with :D

It's back home safe, we went through two dodgy car trailers untill I said to Nick 'thats it I am very close to loosing it in spectacular fashion, we are getting a tow truck.' It was found on the back roads over mt stuart, probably on the way to glenorchy and further suburbs where it would have been stripped and I would never see it again... but fourtunatley (I guess) they cant drive (or read/write probably) and hit a curb and broke the castor rod on the passenger side, which sent the tyre into the guard, destroyed the tyre and my side skirt. I was also lucky they didnt find my wallet or take my tools, however they did find the sub and amp in the boot and the face from my head unit.

Id like to say a big thank you to everyone today for thier support, especially Todd, gmb, gerard and damo - take up damo on his offer and get an immobiliser if you dont have one, I never want to have to go through another day like today, I dont think anyone would.

Goodnight and good luck, Im going to get drunk now.

SCUM! The only time I would be happy losing my car like that is if they killed themselves in it!

Same with me man - as much as I dont want to see it come to that - if they do steal it, I wish they wrap themselves around a pole - teach the f**kers to steal shit....

back to the thread though - i hope you do find it man, I can only imagine how you must be feeling....;)

Edit: shit - didnt read the end :D

Well after getting it safely locked away I sat down, drank two beers and passed out... I will put up a bit of a damage report later on, but i am off to melbourne tomorrow to see gomez  so the car can wait, I dont want to have to think about it right now.

Cheers guys

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
