Fitted King springs to mine, better than standard height but a little lower would be nice.

That ride height is ok, heaps better than mine. Is that the lowest you can go with King springs? Did you just fit the King springs and leave the shocks as standard, or did you change the shocks as well.

I dont know what condition the original ones are in yet. :(

I have looked at SydneyKid's R34 set up, but unsure of the exact parts I would require? Maybe I should get a quote?

aren't jap coilovers suppose to be too harsh out here?

that's why SK's kit is really good, the bilstein shocks have been revalved to better suit our dodgy roads.

Have you driven on Japan's roads? HHmmm, I think roads in Melbourne are better than Hiroshima's roads. :D

hence the '?' and hence 'suppose to be'...

PM SydneyKid if you've got any q's... or post your question in the Group Buy thread. You'll get answers/quotes

Thanks :( SS8 Gohan I will PM SydneyKid, I have read alot of positive feedback about his products and work. I would like to do it properly the first time, and not just a quick fix job (the angle grinder is not my friend) as my R34 is an excellent example and I will be keeping it for years to come.

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
