Yea Aron i got the notice last night and picked it up this morning..

for some reason it was the final notice but i never recieved a first.. so i told them off..

Also i think they rushed the covers when they first did them, thats why one of my head rest ripped because it wasnt over locked they just cut it..

The other one that is on my car now was poorly done. but theres no point it having it fixed because its on the car already and its not broken. (dont fix what isnt broken) hopefully i wont have any problems with the other one when i put it on tonight..

Same as me. Weird ..Silly AusPost!

My logo's on the rear seat aren't aligned... what's the hassle involved with having them sent back? Am I expected to pay for freight back?

They are overseas at the moment, due back around the 6-10th of November. Howver, you can get in contact with them via e-mail still.

You may have to sent them back, with you paying postage so they can look at it and fix them / or make new ones for you.

Do you have any photos of them? If not, take some and I'll see what I can do for you.

I finally got the interior done through a trimmer and I have to say that results were pretty good. they got rid of the stock cloth interior and glued/sewed the covers for $400. Took a day to complete and i've attached some pics below:

very nice mate - looks awesome!!!

thanks man. i'm currently waiting for the people from ultimate to get back from their holiday because the hand brake boot they supplied does not fit r34 gtt's. i sent my stock hand brake boot as it has a wire frame which is required to install it properly.

so total cost for this mod was a little shy from $1000. only time will tell if the material will last.

wats the problem with r34 gtt handbreak covers?

also jetdat...im very interested in the next GB because i had to drop out of the one jsut before.....could u give me a price if i wanted the whole set.....a roch price....because i cant remember

I don't have their e-mails off hand, I'll post them up when I can.

About a seoncd Group Buy, I may start another one to see how many people will be intrested then we can get prices.

andru,

the hand brake cover is too small to fit in a gtt.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just wondering with these...any more feedback after weeks of use??

How do they feel?

Interested in next buy so any details will be helpful.

Cheers

Jason

I have all mine in the car. Only took a couple of hours this morning. I don't know how to add the pictures. Will give it a go. They look beter then I thought they possibly could. Ivory is s nice contrast with the dark grey.

whats with the creases

Those creases should disappear when the covers wear in?! I read in the thread somewhere, about leaving them in the sun before installing them, which softens then and gets rid of the crease? I hope they wear in! I'm about to put in my order!

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
