Nope, nope, nope.

:(

There are instructions with FAST that will fix what ails you.

In %windir% (e.g. C:\WINDOWS) \NSFASTW.INI ensure the following exists as the 3rd line;

FontName=MS Gothic

All that does is change the default font to Gothic, which includes a japanese character set. You won't be able to copy and paste into translators unless you run the program and IE in japanese mode in my experience.

okay so which one is it???........

I'm pretty sure I've already done this. All it changes is the way the text fields are displayed.

Surely that won't change the fact the buttons, some menu texts & the diagrams are all in Kenji characters??

You would need a "language" setting for that.

There aren't many buttons you really need to know. The headings, etc you can just guess or translate. Most buttons have english tooltips. You can't change the language on the buttons.

the thing is its not the buttons.....its the whole program....like its not in a language. theres only characters and symbols i cant even search for VINs or anythin

So I'm running Windows XP, and I don't have an "MS Gothic" Font in my windows setup. I think it was a Win2K thing??

So it doesn't really do much editing the ini file for that. So I just run the C:\Nissan\NFSET.exe program & picked Mincho as it has a Japanese Script, but that still doesn't work very well even though in the "Sample" area I get nice Kenji in the FAST software I still get gobbledygook. So I changed it back to "Western".

Here's a screen shot of everything I mean:

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
