Went over to my bros house to help him put out some hard rubbish. Since our cars were parked outside, we thought we take some pics. As you can see, my skyline looks like its a 4wd compared to the s2000

edit: pics resized - hopefully wont take long to d/l now :(

both cars sprint to 100 in similar times...if ur 33 is modded then u might be quiker

but if ur car is stock..hmm, i dunno...s2000's are fast lil' mofos.

Well, mines only got a pod and a turbo back exhaust - plus lugging that 12 inch subby and sub box - adds weight to the car :) So hence why my bros s2000 will be faster....i think... :)

I dunno dude, S2000 aint that quick. Im pretty sure with ur mods you could maybe even beat him. From my memory s2000 does around 6.2 sec to 100 km/h... your car is around that easy.

BTW s2000 is for midgets... heh when your 6'4 anything smaller than a Skyline is um... too cramped!!

nice pic, actually they are my top two favorite cars

what are the specs for both?

The s2k - is bone stock (bro is not going to modify it - specially since they both are parents now)

My r33 has a turbo back exhaust, and pod as the only performance mods

There is no way that mine would be faster than that....though i dont tell my bro that

I have dragged my mate's S2K (at the drag strip of course)...

I did 2 runs next to him. We both have catback zorsts and air filters.

My R33 GTS-T beat him on both occasions, but only just...

For what they are, S2K is a fantastic driver's car. Sharp handling (handles like a go cart), awesome VTEC roar, best shifting gearbox with shuch a sweet throw and the pedal placement is perfect for heel and toe....

On the track, it'll be a completely different story. S2K will out-corner the GTS-T...

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
