Poor guy :)

He was my favourite on top gear with the "Teeth Whitening" and all the jokes they pulled with that. + all the argument with Jeremy. Top Guy

Get well Hamster

Heard reports all day on the radio. Sounds like he is on the improve which is good. Its extra crap as the accident supposedly happened on the final "extra footage" run, not a top speed run. The next season of Top Gear is schedualed for next month... hopefully BBC won't cancel it.

C'mon Hamster! Get well soon

saw an article on news.com was a video from sky news and it mentioned that they think it was a burst tyre that may have caused the accident but investigations are continuing

Good to hear he's now stable, hope he's able to make a full recovery

Apparently BBC are now under pressure to can top gear all together! due to their promotion of speed and taking risks whilst driving

I heard about this from my gf the day it happened, and I didn't quite beleive it.

I know they can strap a car on an empty airfield, and pilot a boat-car... and run a rally 4wd through some snow... stuff like that... but I really couldn't beleive that the shows producers would allow him to drive a land-speed record car at those kinds of speeds.

Great for the show, and i'm sure lots of people would love to do it, but I really didn't think that he would be allowed in any shape or form to take such big risks.

Poor guy. I've been hanging for season 9 to start airing. =-[

Hamster's first words at finding out he'd been in a car crash.

Was I driving like a twat?

And then he insulted Captain Slow.

The man is a f**king champion. If he ever comes to Australia, he deserves a beer.

    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
