I think keeping it off the forum is a good thing and security has set the record straight just not with every detail which doesnt matter anyway( it) has happen as accidents some times do and so there isnt any version as the proper version is stated at the top...

There is nothing sus at all about what happened and why would you think that???

Were is the compassion to leave it alone!??

yeah i thought the same thing. To me censoring makes it look really suss...but thats just me, if you censor it you get like joe said, people spread stories that may not be true instead of knowing the facts.
understood

but why any details at all then?

obviously some people are completely oblivious and now you've piqued their curiosity

not making waves just trying to understand :(

I didnt want this thread here in the first place, but joes mates needed to set everything straight which i can understand, so its here for the meantime

Yes i know now a lot of people have started to get interested in it, which irritates the shit out of me to be honest, but its too late now

There is nothing "to hide" as such, but no one needs to know the details - which is better for the people involved as it stays sort of private.

Here you go Richard

To my knowledge there were no p platers involved.

You have to be kidding about pics, seriously i hope you are kidding.

Go to google if you want to see pics of dead animals.

There's two if you look hard enough - its all in good fun

yeah im feeling much better than over the weekend, but no one needs to see pics of the remains, thats just wrong

nathan i think you've got the wrong idea about what happened buddy

which is exactly the reason this thread is shit

delete it

I agree no one should be assuming anything of any one and this is exactly why the thread shouldnt be here as no one needs a lecture

Steve, congrats, you’re off your green P’s.

As the NSW VICE President, you my friend represent all of us financial members. You out of all people should rethink your activities or position.

Word has got around, regardless if you like it or not, it was no minor tap nor a Sunday Stroll, especially when a vehicle has rolled.

You didn't want this post and now I can see why.

You forgot to comment on the last line of my last post.

Ok, i have a fair idea where you're going with this, and i have never owned a Skyline whilst on P plates, maybe you are mistaking me for someone else? Ive been off my p plates for years and have all 12 points.

Yes i realize i represent all the members, that is why this thread is still here, to show what happened was out of anybodies control, as confirmed by the police, who i bet wouldve loved to charge someone over the event. I did nothing wrong, it was an accident.

Word has gotten round you say? You're exactly right, and how much of it do you think isnt exaggerated ? So you think you have heard what transpired? Fell free to PM me what you've heard and ill be happy to verify if its right or not.

Its not only myself who thought this would bring around fighting (like this right now) and a bad rep for the club, but others there on the night. THATS why i didnt want the details on the public section of the net as the whole night sounds worse than it is, and you have not helped the situation with your comments to be perfectly honest, but everyones entitled to their own opinions and you have expressed yours.

I didnt forget to comment on the last part - you're right, everyone was lucky, as i have already said way above.

10 mins till its deleted so Nathan can see my last reply

I seriously think he has got some of the people mixed up, not to mention the rest of the story

But its not only him, im hearing all sorts of stories about it, and so far, not ONE has been correct

Also, out of all the people involved, only 3 were club members (and they all walked away without incident, the car that ended up rolling was not related to the club), and there were heaps more than 3 people there

onya steve

you've shown good leadership and smarts today

happy you're holding the position you are

Jimbo

Yep im the same I was there and know what went on and steveo was excellent in handling the situation and this thread !!

My apologies Steve,

I think I have got you mixed up with someone else.

I don’t need the ins and outs in fact I don’t want to know.

My main concern is yet again Skylines get a worse name.

Well answered,

Thanks.

No worries

That is also my main concern

Incase anyone is wondering, it wasnt a Skyline (or Nissan for that matter) that got wrecked.

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
