I just finished watching the interview with Terri Irwin, and I feel like I've been beaten with a stick. It's finally hitting home for me that Steve is really gone;that it's not just some really bad practical joke. I'm normally a pretty realistic guy:stuff happens;deal with it,learn from it,and move forward. But Steve's death has really rattled me,because he was one of my heroes. He's the reason I got into handling and saving snakes. He's the reason I view every day as a new one to get out there and 'get amongst it'. He's the one that made me feel like I could make some sort of difference. And,now he's gone,I have to regroup and find strength to run headlong at things again. I got teary the other day talking with an understanding customer in my store, which is where I can be at my most professional, but wasn't for a few seconds. Christ,I miss him. I will also happily do time if I get one good,hitting-home shot at Germaine Greer for her comments after his death. If anyone can get me a chance meeting with her,I'll be forever indebted to them. And I really don't care if anyone sees Steve, and what he stood for, different to me;he was my hero, and that's about as simple as it gets.

So...the question remains:who's YOUR hero? You don't have to say why,and it needn't be anyone that we've all heard of. For once, wear your heart on your sleeve, and let us all know.

Some of mine are my brother and mother(he's taken more responsibilities in his life than I can imagine, she's dealt with more than any mother should have to),Barry Sheene(an inspirational life gone too early),my mate Darren L.(refer Mr Sheenes' comments, but taken even earlier),Valentino Rossi(the purest form of what it means to be a racer),my best mate Craig for proving the impossible can be done...the list has a few more entries;I may expand on them later...

So,once again:who is YOUR hero?

I just got back from work so ill make this short for now....Also i missed the interview which im really upset about.

Mate I think anyone could get inspiration just thinking of what Terri has to go through now that Steve has gone, imagine how tough it must be for her my god! So I think with what ever you are going to do in your life to make your future a better one, just think of how hard Steve put in for everything he was ever involved in and now what Terri will need to draw on to get through and continue with the wildlife park and any other organisation they were involved in. Now that will push you to strive for what your after.

One of my most recent heros is my brother. Growing up he was a shy, quite and sometimes little shit. One day at the start of this year he decides to have a life change to he enrols in the army. Six months later he is in advanced training learning how to shot rocket launchers, throw granades and really just how to take care of himself. The reason i look up to him for what he has done is because living with him my whole life he was the last person i would think to have made a move like this. Now this is something i will build inspiration from once i know what i want lol.

Ill have to continually update this!

Maradona....because he was the best , i don`t care what he done off the field that is not my business the stuff he done on the field is all that matters , thats what sportsmen share with us. Alot of ppl think Maradona is a F@#k up and they might be right maybe it the fact that he is far from perfect that draws me to him and that F@^k ups can still make it in life

To be honest I really wasnt a fan of Steve (it sounds bad but

I mean I just didnt follow his career or anything) but I respected the man for what he had done for Australia, but watching the interview I couldnt help but shed a tear or two because it hit me then that he was gone!

But my hero is my father for sure. Hes always been there for me through the easy times and the hard times

1. Mark Webber :worship: : he is living my dream of being an F1 driver. constantly under pressure to perform and having to drive a car that is not as quick as the others and out performing them is just amazing. keep it up mate!

2. Jayce!!! yes JAYCE!!! :worship: believe it or not, i do look up to you mate. your knowledgeable on many subjects and a great guy to boot. if i can have earned and achieved as much as you have by the time im your age (you old fart!! :( ) then i'll be happy. cheers.... :)

Jayce, PS: you can pay me the money for sucking up to you later..... :):D

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
