They would have to be the most boring cruise destinations in the history of cruise destinations since they started to take records on cruise destinations.

Melb is a big city, there is a ton of places to cruise other than ther drive ins and stkilda...

Gordy's suggestions is nice :(

ok i got 2 things to say about all this cruise organising/event thingy.

a) don't suggest a cruise unless you have a destination AND a group activity to do AT the destination.

eg: cruise to Doncaster shopping center carpark. Activity: Tenpin bowling.

eg: cruise to dandenong stockyards. Activity: Drivein movies after cruise.

This is a social car club, not a cruise club (eg: MCCR) if you wanna drive mindlessly from one point to another and enjoy your car, do so, but bear in mind there's other clubs that facilitate that.

As long as there's something good and productive to do at the end then I'm all for it. Driveins are fun coz we get to meet with everyone at the drivein, not jus say "hey you overtook me on the way to this point" etc the next day on the forum.

B) I really don't get why people wanna cruise, yet bitch n whine about going somewhere they don't wanna go coz its too far away from home... i mean wtf... isn't that the point of "cruising"?

Mind you these are my views and not SAU's. I'm down for any cruise/meet as long as you can promise me some social interaction after the cruise, I spend enough time in my car already.

munkeh... these cruises arent official SAU cruises anyway so they can organise them how they want... if they want to drive around for an hour or 2 thats ok... so long as ppl no these are not official SAU cruises.

Hrmm... i think the munkeh is right

we might need a 3rd poll lol, but we can take destinations and activities here then make another poll of the best ones

How about meet at Brighton beach (for a nice view) then drive 12 k's down North rd to huntigdale sidetracked (go karts ppl)?

I voted sky high for the convenience factor :) (I pretty much live next it)

but i think sky high is mad if there is somethin to do there, like a cafe or sumthin..not just standin around our cars...

Although there is nothing to do at sky high itself since the restaurant closed except enjoy the view, we could go to a cafe in the mount dandenong township, there are heaps of them around.

The twisties are great and the roads are deserted in most parts so you can do whatever speed you want (almost). I was doing 155 the other day, for example.

Either way if people do want to cruise to mount dandenong I am happy to help out planning the root.

Cheers

Greg

Well what's wrong with crusing to a place and then talking about your cars/food ?

Isn't that what goes on anyway... AND fit's the bill of a Cruise and being Social

I mean... what would you call the GOR if there wasn't any Ten Pin or Movies ?

or that just 'different?

it was a drive and a chat ... no ten pins/driveins there but i think it was an awesome meet :uh-huh:

Yeah that's what I meant, I jus don't like where you drive from point to point and don't really get to meet n greet.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
