Installing A Cd Player To R34

I want to install CD/MP3 deck into my R34. I am having difficulty removing interior to access factory tape player. I unbolted centre console using two screws but its tightly held from front clips. What’s the best way to access the tape player?

I didnt want to use too much force as most of interiors are fragile.

1. Pop out the a/c vents (using cloth over a flathead screwdriver from the left hand side)

2. take out the ashtray remove screw behind that.

3. pop out gear surround console (using cloth over flathead just behind the hand brake boot)

4. remove the four screws on the cage.

5. take out the cage, then unscrew the tape player.

reverse to put back in.

Also grab the adpating connectors (assuming the OEM unit is still there.)
