It's rooted.

Time for the RB25DET upgrade! :(

Or if youre still keen on RB20's then have a hunt around for a short motor, dont worry, youre not the first person too blow up an engine but the cost too repair most of that would probably be much more than its worth in the end unless it was something you could do most of yourself.

thanks man,but this engine is pretty clean and got a rb25 turbo on it, i will think about upgrade to rb25, but what the difference between rb20 and rb25? is it larger means better? thanks. :(

Larger means more expensive, much more... talk to a mechanic who has done it before.

When my engine blew earlier this year I just dropped in another rb20, got away for about $1600 (plus beer), -Oh and I feel your pain, mine lasted a whole month, and died in the hands of a friend.

Your in a hard place vcool because of the actual fidly repairs

you got head damage.

you have piston damage

you have bore damage i would certainly say by your pic's

plus probably some unknown niggle's

The best way is to follow the other guys advice and get another good condition short motor using the turbo you have.

good luk mate

Larger egnine size 2.5 litres which means more torque you can actually feel the power.

Pesonally im not a big fan of RB20 engines they dont go that hard and cant really feel the power

I donno maybe im used to driving twin turbo cars.

thanks guys, really thanks for the idea,i might shop around for a nice motor, these days people charging more for parts than the whole machines.... :) these shits are rubbish in jap as i have been told, and they asking huge price for them here. we need some good people around :(

thanks again guys.

drop a rb20 in, get them to move the rb25 turbo on your old motor to the new and your sorted. rb20's are nice and the turbo you have makes them even better.

that and a rb25 costs like 2-3 times more to source and a lot more troubles since it will probably kill your gearbox with its torque

if you put in another RB20

im gonna the sphincter of the universe slap you.

RB20s are as useful as CA18s

I heard that RB20s were originally designed by nissan as an effective means of stopping their container ships floating away...

I heard they built a batch of RB25's and they 'accidently' shaved bottom of the block off making them 2L.

    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
