i have 2 x 15" 1000 watt rms subs with stupidly big magnets connected to them which i have to install, atm i only have one in in a fairly large box, which i needed to remove my spare tyre to get in, i havnt looked far into the boxes yet, just wandering if anyone knew if i could get a dual 15" box which would fit strait in or even 2x boxes, and keep in mind they cant be too shallow thx in advance

short of removeing the rear seat that is the only realy way I can see 2 15" subs in there properly.

hahah yeh i have my new body kit on its way here now finally completed and my car is gone till jan 10th :) im spewing man, i cant beleive my car got impounded for a measly little chirpy into second gear.. and yeah all that gear did go in

list of it goes

1x 1 farad capacitor(soon to have an extra 4 farad for sub amp)

1x earthquake 900.5 amp for speakers

1x lanzar 4000 watt mxa 282 amp 2 channel sub amp(if you dont know who lanzar is, its made in the usa by boston acoustics)

2x audiopipe 1000 watt rms 15" dual 2.5 inch voice coil subs

the lanzar amp takes up the whole length of the back of the seat, and earthquake which is pictured as the blue amp in that pic takes up the rhs and the box is a shall box which takes up the whole height of my boot and almost width and lenght so yeh when you open all you can see is system and no floor, it was a bit messy but will re wire and stuff to make it look better when i get the car back

speakers

- earthquake 400 watt 5x7 in doors with tweeters

- earthquake 600 watt 6.5" splits in rear

deck

- pioneer deh-p5750mp

3x 5v pre out with full sub control + multiple amp control

mp3,wma etc

remote

wires

dual 4 guage wires with gold plated terminal

100 amp fuse

3x cadence rca's (i wouldnt recomend these im changing very soon)

12 guage oxygen sealed speaker wires all around

dB rating? not sure yet but will try find out some time soon

what a list.

Ive never tried to fit a 15'' let alone 2 of them.2guup has 2 12's that are a tite fit.i dont rate ur chances of fitting them.

All i could suggest is that you tear out the whole stock boot trim and start from there.make the spare tyre well one hole 4 the sub.but remember u have a huge magnet so make sure the metal in the boot dont interfere.hey! the second sub you could mount like a step.free air would be ur best option n use the boot as the box 4 da home made!!

thats a hektik install in that pic, team lets put an amp through a sub going too fast around a corner....

oh and if your car got impounded, take it to court, get some good legal representation and you might be suprised..

    • You know how your car rolled through a fence in your last jacking escapade? Scissor jacks increase the likely hood of that sort of thing happening immensely!

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
