brake pads (how much?)

Just like to know whereabouts in WA can I get my brake pads replaced cheap? More importantly how much should I be quoted for cos I'll be calling up some places and dun want to be ripped. FYI I just need the front 2 replaced and my ride is an S13 180SX. Thks in advance.

i'm using EBC Greenstuff got them through xspeed can't remember how much 240 a pair? for fronts i think i can't exactly remember anyways i think most guys use em, good shit they are!

thks for the reply... ahh.. 240 a pair? I'm trying to look for something along the lines of like 150 or so... just replaced my clutch, gearbox n front axle brushes, and also installed my FMIC so pretty damn broke.

Do you really think he needs ebc greenstuff? just cause its a cool brand and good for racing, i doubt he will really reach the potential that those pads require, the usually reply is bendix ultimate im not sure if they are that great or that available. For around 150 bux "RG" pads will be about it, ive heard a couple of good stories about them, dunno the bad though. Simon at works auto in bently should be able to point you in the right direction, perhaps i dunno i just want to get him off his lazy ass

I thought I was the only one that used em for the low end cheap stuff.

You should be able to get some for under $60 but they will be just pads , nothing too flash.

Jash at C-Red has the RG pads for about $160.00 an end... I got them in my car, work pretty well, only things i don't like too much is that they squeal like a little pig... Doesn't do it all the time, just every now and again....

All you people pay WAY too much. I picked up Bendix Ultimate's for the Front (DBA1170, IIRC) for $85 (normally $139) and fitted them MYSELF. Come on people, it's not rocket science!

i've got some Lucas Metallic pads in the supra, cost me about $50 for the fronts from Perth Brake Parts, they delivered them for free, and I fitted em myself... I'm thinking of getting some Endless from Japan via Speedworks next time I'm up for some front pads tho...

The Lucas pads do leave quite a bit of dust on the wheels, however, they stop pretty well...

They sell Bendix Ultimates etc which I don't consider low end.

for a fast car, the bendix metallic pads are the low end... as are the Lucas pads I've been using...

I don't know whether EBC should really be part of the equation... Adrian seems to be reasonably happy with them, but I've heard some bad things about their wear rate and performance...

I've used metal pads which are supposedly semi-race/semi-street and there shit. Very inconsistant braking results.

It doesn't matter what pad you use, aslong as you know that they will stop you consistantly:D

yeah, i guess it's more of a you pay for what you get situation when it comes to brake pads, but not all the time as but i reckon EBC's are quite good and i dunno where you heard the bad stuff about EBC from fil? you should give them ago probably stop you just as well as endless pads for less price

i've got a few mates who've had rather bad experiences with regards to wear rates....

it probably depends a lot on how hard you drive them...

btw, the endless pads i'm looking at are not much more than the EBC's
