Please Help With Translating Message?

Hi Guys,

just wondering if i can have a little help translating this message?

i test-drove a soarer yesterday (for my brother) and when you start the car this message appears on the dash in red, and it beeps at you.

just wondering what you guys think it says?

i've translated it myself, but just want a second opinion on it.

i came up with 'enzin sisutemu' or 'engine system'

which i'm guessing is like the red engine symbol you get on normal dashes?

Youd be correct. 'Engine System'.

Sounds like it's just doing a diagnostic check each time it starts up, but I can't remember ever seeing that when I've driven various Soarers at work.

It could also be a problem though! Maybe try some Toyota forum for more info... I think one member on here has a Soarer though? He might pop his head in.

That'd be me... That "Engine System" isnt a positive sign at all.. There could be quite a few reasons for that. You might be better off checking over here at the ALSC - Aus Lexus Soarer Club

yep. i've got a soarer. they have a shit load of error codes. it's a good chance for me to practice my kana when ones comes up on my dash. There is a list of them at planet soarer which has a pic of the kana and an english translation. like I said they have a warning for everything. low brake fluid, low PS fluid, low coolant level (even if it moves down a few mm), damaged flux capacitor... you get the idea. the planet soarer guide should give you some more info.
