Ok, I've decided I wanna head over to one of the Thursday night meets at Baskin-Robbins up at Chapel Hill. It would be good to organise a meet somewhere (possibly the ettamogoah) and have a bunch of cars head up together.

I think they ususally meet around 7pm so we would have to leave a bit before 6 as it's a bit over an hour's drive.

It would be good to meet some fellow members and have a nice ice-cream at the same time :)

id be keen for that.

ahh yep???ive been out of the car scene for a while but just got me a 4door 33. i wouldnt mind doing a brizzy cruise if there is ever one on, im on the sunshine coast also

Yeah sold the vtr, and love the CBR! It's better in every way it can be. Not that the vtr was a bad bike though!!

I haven't ridden an R6 yet.... But having sat on both I find the CBR more comfortable, that and it's better looking IMO.

Went up through Peachester, Maleny and Montville yesterday. Had a ball!

Sweet Rob, I was thinking we should organise it for next thursda,. (3rd September) because trying to do it for this week would be too soon to get a reasonable turnout.

haha congrats. im going for a '09 R6 soon=sex.wouldnt mind a 600cibby, but always see them with a cargo box on the back, and saw one with an autobarn 'drift' muffler on it :) haha, that kinda killed it for me.

Lol, nah nothing like that on mine. Black and stock atm. It doesn't need any performance mods IMO, a pipe would be purely for sound. Other than that all I want to do is make the stuff on it that isn't black already, black. lol.

I was very tempted by the 09 R6 hey....and could have got one ride away for about 15k or so when yami down at caloundra had some special on....but i ended up wanting the honda, got a runout 08 to save some $$$ as the 09 was gettin up there a bit. But hey, its still a new bike! :)

Oh yeah Tristan, I forgot about the jailbait!! Guys, young girlies are going to be present when we go for our ice creams :) How cool did that just sound! lol :)

Come on guys! There hasn't been much interest yet! Oh and I totally stuffed up the dates in my post earlier, I meant the 10th..... anyway just express some interest if you want to come along!

At this stage I'm going to go along this week. I live in beerwah so depending on where anyone else is coming from we could organise a good place to meet up.

totally unrelated - but rob i bumped into old mitchy today mate - he was pretty keen to hear that you're getting involved with his car and looking after it :happy:

hes saving for an rb25det r32 once he gets off his ps in a year :D

only thing though is that she has a southern cross sticker on her car..

Just for those who don't know there is a Mt. Glorious cruise coming up soon which should be an awesome drive, the date is almost set just tossing up between the weekend of the 19th or 26th of this month, the cruise isn't just open to skylines so feel free to join in the more cars the better. The post for this is in the QLD events section under EOI: Morning Glorious cruise.

      A few suggestions: Do you have the option of retarding your exhaust cam gear to bring the power band over to the left? VCT would be turned off after you make peak torque, you see the power/torque will decay faster with it left on all the way to the limiter Once VCT is turned off, you'll find the motor will take a bit more timing being ramped in Send its mum, more boost! Of course, depends on your exhaust pressure.

      I was back on the dyno again yesterday after completely revamping my methanol injection system. I was making 440kw at 19psi. Great, this is more then I was making last summer with my old meth system at that pressure, and I figured it would be smooth sailing up to 30+psi. We continued increasing from there and by 25psi, I had only hit 455kw. Dyno sadly lost utility power at this point and I left. We seemed to be on course to hit the same power wall as last summer (477kw@27psi). This is a built RB25 S1 stroked to a 2.8. Built and ported head with Kelford 272/262 cams. Precision 6466 Turbo. Tuner last year believed the power wall is a mix of RPM limitations (Hydro lifters/Limit set at 7600RPM) and fueling. With my new meth system, we're seeing zero knock now but it still won't go up.  What else can I do at this point? Here's my train of thought.  - It's clear from the dyno graph that I would easily make power to 8500+RPM but I'm limited to 7600RPM. I could risk increasing my limiter, but hydro lifters have me worried. What are my options here besides going NEO head or solid lifter conversion? I'm rocking a 1.05AR turbine on my 6466. Would dropping down to a .84 help shift that power down in anyway? - We're only seeing roughly a 30kw difference at the top end with VCT on or off. Is this normal? I want to confirm VCT is working properly. - Should I look into other cam options?  - Should I just keep increasing boost and see if she wakes up later on? I would expect to hit 600rwkw around 35psi with my 6466.

      First thought is to use a ram mount (to hold the ipad) + windscreen suction mount. The arms on the ram mount can be as long as you like, should be able to position the ipad pretty well with that setup.
