Hey all, just got home to be reminded that personal tax returns are due tomorrow!!!

crap! up all night doing paperwork.....

nothing fun here just don't want anyone to get fined for a late return.

Cheers!

flame me if u like... just a freindly reminder

they cant do that, you can get them in lots of trouble for witholding it.

I know, and the worse bit is my Old Lady worked there aswell, so we both havent done ours!

we have reported them to the ATO but where thats at i have no idea!

nothing fun here just don't want anyone to get fined for a late return.

you wont get fined unless you owe THEM money

if they owe you money they're quote happy to keep it and earn interest until you get around to doing your return :P

I did mine last night. Swift, getting a decent amount back due to being a Pizza boy and knocking up the deductions! (did 2500km in my rolla, well more but I didn't write it all down :yucky: and then tafe studies).

Still need to do the previous year  They owe me money, reason it wasn't done was because I was told I didn't have to do it until this year.... turns out that was wrong (stupid cheap tax guy).

Ahhh fun fun, just remember, we are paying for our future... and the roads we drive on... HAHAHA Yeah right, enjoy the pot holes!

LODGING TAX YOURSELF:

If your doing your tax through E-tax (must be lodged latest 31st October 2006) otherwise the accept won't accept it.

ENTITLED TO A REFUND

Its true you won't get fined for late lodgement

LODGING THROUGH AN ACCOUNTANT/TAX AGENT

Due dates for Lodging through a tax agent could be:

December 2006

March 2007 or

May 2007

(If you used a tax agent to lodge your last tax return call them up to check when yours is due! - Its different for everyone)

Sorry guys correction to my original post:

E-tax will still be available for self lodgement until 28th February 2007.

http://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/content....amp;mfp=001/002

Keep in mind:

-If you lodge after 31st October 2006 by yourself and your tax return estimates you have to pay tax you 'MIGHT' be penaltised for late lodgement. (I suggest you lodge through a tax agent to take advantage of the extensions if that is the case).

-If your tax return estimates you will be entitled to a tax refund then it doesn't matter if its late so no penalty here.

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
