Well each to their own but I personally try to avoid anything GTR for my car......just dont wanna make it look like something its not.

The only GTRish styling ill have is the bonnet, but it's made specifically for the GTT ie no need to change the latch or the hinges..

Speaking of which you will need to get one of these bonnets or a genuine GTR bonnet cause the GTR bonnet is shorter than the GTT one, if you go the genuine GTR one than I think you may need to change the bonnet latch and hinges.

Other than that its front bar, rear bar, front and rear guards and then of course rear diffuser and also the red reflector on the right side of the number plate and the rear wing.

All in all its not worth it if you wanna get genuine parts cause once your done you probably could have afforded the real deal if you traded your car in.

just like shonen and many others id try stay away form the GTR wannabe list.

although i would love some wider guards for my gtt...but i can never find any. im real jelous of u 33 and 32 owners who have such a variety of after market products.

nehoo to answer the 1st posts question.

go here

cost u quite a bit though....4k+

andru another gay post by you. People choose to go the wider guards for the wider wheels and more turning lock.

Andru, I think its about time u changed ur nick and avatar again

R34WPN: Each to their own, I think the R34 fronts are awesome but if you've got money to throw around then yeah by all means go for it! The east bear kit is the way to go.

if someone wants to modify their car that doesnt suit your taste, piss off. im sick of reading things like "omg gtr copy wannabe bla bla bla im a big gay wanker".

gtr's look hot with the wider guards, so why cant gtt's? putting guards on is one thing, putting hte badging on is another.

either give them the information they need, or go home.

for an actual reply, the front guards will probably swap over.

to fit genuine rear guards you'll need to chop off your old ones, and weld on the new ones. but you could get fibreglass guards that are an ad on to your existing ones. then you'll need to flare your guards at the wheel arch a bit to make it look all in proportion as well as get more clearance.

cheers.

i think anDru's input is the best, probably best going for the east bear kit from powerplay however as he said it is rather expensive

in terms of what ive read about this in the past the actual gtr front bar is wider (due to the wider guards obviously) however can be stretched somewhat and put on, i dont know if the guards will just swap over and fit perfectly, also the bonnets for the gtt and gtr are the same dimensions however the hinges and latches are different, the spoiler wont be a problem but not sure about genuine gtr side skirts or rear bar, if your serious about it might just be best to go for the east bear ones

there was a guy a while back on here who bought all the genuine gtr body parts from nissan and put them on his yellow gtt so it can be done

good luck and hope you get the results your after without blowing too much coin :P

ive always wondered, if it would work out cheaper to buy a GT-T, put a full East-Bear kit on, then Rb26/Ecu/Computer.. would it work out cheaper then buying GTR?

Meh.. personally i think id prefer buying the GTR.. just a thought though.

im tryin 2 make my r34 gtt look like an r34 gtr in terms of body, includin front bar, rear bar, side skirts, bonnet and even the gaurds, where can i get the gaurds n how can i put them on

Would love to see if it all works out for ya.

here are some photos of the gtt i was talking about, looks pretty hard to tell its a gtt, even has the brembo brakes, not a fan of the badges though

They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery. The GTR indeed is as hot as a mo fo, but maybe just try and use it as a 'guide' when deciding on the final look of your car rather then trying to it make an all out GTR replica such as this yellow one.

It looks nice and all, but having GTR all over the car, including the number plate is false advertising.

Good luck dude. :P

does anyone know what the reasoning is behind why there are no copy versions of the east bear stuff..

i mean vertex gear just went MAD with copies..

GRRRRRRR

nearly 7k for kit that looks like a GTR is soooo much

    • Long time no random post about shit. So I went down this deep deep rabbit hole of battery storage for the home, ended up locking in a 41.9kWh Fox ESS EQ4800 with 9 units stacked. Battery uses Lithium Iron Phosphate, similar to what you find in those deep cycle boat/caravan batteries. And yes, why did I go with a cheapie brand and not like Synergy? simply because I don't plan to stay at this house for more than another 3~5 years.  The entire install, DC coupling (removal of existing invertor, connecting the current 6.6kW array direct to the battery invertor), new 8kW invertor is $6K all up (after all the rebates etc.). Going with this lot: https://www.aussiesolarbatteries.com.au/ It did seem a bit too good to be true, however seems like the Whirlpool community has vetted it and when it comes to this kind of stuff, they seem to be all over it: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/thread/9pxj8482?p=38   I've requested for the battery to be installed outside, next to my meter board and not inside - rather have it combust and ignite outside lol.
    • In Vic it would be a defect regardless of whether or not you cut a hole in the sheetmetal for the return pipe. The rules in Vic are shitful, and are generally interpreted as you can "make 2 mods to the intake system". Putting an FFP and an FMI onto it will almost certainly be seen as some huge number of intake mods. You really need to speak to an engineer before doing this stuff in VIC.
    • planning a r34 rb25 de+t with some other work, rather just have it done in a shop due to space limitations any recommendations? I have most the parts already I seen online Moore Performance and DR Drift any advice appreciated thanks
    • I’ve read the previous posts so just looking for latest information on how people have dealt with front facing plenum is it a defect etc or didn’t pass roadworthy or was it not noticed? Have a r34 and deciding if I should make a hole on the driver side or not.  I know some people have said blitz return flow but I might get rid of the stock intake down the line for a plenum so I rather set up for that now plus I already have a standard Intercooler. Car is mainly stock  Thanks.
    • Actually, if having and keeping the stock ECU is the plan, the correct answer is to put Nistune into the ECU and improve the situation, not just look at it.
