wow.... the unique motorsport guys want $550 just for a front bumper bar......man i knew gtr parts were expensive but that is too much....my budget it only 1,500

seems to me they only have the front bar....

if i wanted to do a conversion, do i need to change the headlights as well?

Dont need to change headlights. just:

Front bar (may need support bar?)

grill

bonnet

wing

sideskirts

Would help if I could see the headlights... :( Well if you wanted to do the whole conversion, $1500 won't be enough I mean...

Kit includes... GTR Front Bar... Side Skirts... Guards front, rear, do you want the bonnet? GTR Bonnet, not cheap (Aluminum) Grill...Plus headlights (if you don't already have them). Plus wing if you want it... It adds up.

hmmmm well it would be worth it alot... so any clues how much would it all add up to?

Seriously you are looking at 7-10K for a decent job including all parts, fitting properly and paint and it is still just a GTS-t. 32 GTRs have come down as much as 33 GTRs so you could get one for 18-20K. Mind you I still also have 2 GTS25t so don't look down at them but why blow cash that is just wasted?

WOW.... lol well as for the painting thats not a problem my uncle is a painter and he goes a good job.... ah well i guess ill need to get them part by part.

ah well might as well go wreckers and c if i can get the stuff cheap, it sucks being a student...

i should have kept my 33 that thing was fast, and looked good :( no worries fellas tnx for the advice

why are people quoting 7-10k for a gtr kit? Whats the difference between any regular kit on the market??? Get the frontbar for $500, skirts for $250 and a wing for $250. Thats $1000, which is same price for any other quality bodykit on the market..........

Grill is about $200 off yahoo auctions, and gtr bonnet is around $500

total: $1700

TopStage can also provide wide fenders which give the GTR look and thats where it may start costing close to $7k

With the gtst and gtr skirts looking similar all you'd need is the front and spoiler which is $750 (or bonnet+grill $1450). Now painting these will cost $9250/$8550???

yea i was thinking the same thing.. i know the parts are expensive but not that much.... tnx alot man looks like ill have a gtr look alike sooner than i though :(

Front Bar = $525

Wing = $395

Side Skirts = $350

Grill = $295

Bonnet = $650

Total = $2215

So thats the total of the whole thing, but of coarse these prices are still preety high u could still bargain them down a little.. So lets say 2g for the whole parts, still not putting the paint job though.

alrite guys tnx alot for the advice, special tnx to Rekin, tnx alot dude

If you're lucky you could find bargains on ebay, yahoo auction (japan) or even on SAU. There was a person on sau selling front bar + skirts for $550 total. Ill PM you his username if i find it :)

Thats because geoff quoted with fitting and painting (for a good job).

If it's a fibreglass front bar for example, I was told by a panel beater that they are difficult to fit, and should allow $400 JUST for fitting the front bar.

A good proper job, will most likely also consit of a proper blending job on the panels, which means more labour on removing and replancement more prepping, more painting ect ect.. It all starts to add up.

of course, but this also applies to any kit installed on any car and is the cost we must put up with, ie.vertex,bn,gtr etc.

yea it will suck to get the thing in fibre glass because it takes time to put it on the gtst and it cracks really really eazy, opposed to the original gtr bar, thats why it is more expensive. but i found some good deals though, i can get a front bat (fibre glass) for 250 so its not 2 bad, anywhayz tnx to everyone for the posts and soon ill take pictures of the car before and after so you guys can see how i go, once again tnx to everyone :huh:

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
