Rececntly I've been thinking about wheels. Although I know several reputable brands I don't know every brand on the market. Also in the last week a bloke posted a question about some rims I won't name.

So what I was wondering was if anyone would be up for a "Safe wheels sticky"?

The idea being that nothing derogatory is posted about any brand, thereby protecting the forum administrators from legal action. The brands posted wouldn't have to be the lightest, cheapest, most expensive or whatever. Just adequately engineered and accurately machined so that anyone could fit them with confidence. I think this information could be useful, bearing in mind that there are some people on the forum who know almost nothing about cars. Hey we all have to start somewhere.

Anyone care to post some feedback?

Both cheap and strong, the speedies in particular have taken a fwe nasty hits including against other cars and are still straight.

Thanks Duncan. Hadn't heard of Speedy's. Cheap and strong sounds good. S'pose listing all the obvious top line wheels would be a good idea. So we all know the Rays/Volk,BBS and Oz Racing ranges etc are fine if you can afford them. Wouldn't need to post every wheel in their catalogues.

One thing that has occured to me is how do we guard against purveyors of dodgy wheels posting them as safe? It's a problem that might occur eventually. Sounds like a a job for the Mod Squad. I mean they don't have anything else to do right??
