Hi All,

This might sound like a bit of a noobie question, I've had a good search but couldn't find anything. I have what appears to be a type m front bar on my gts4. The left side is slightly out of alignment, does anyone haves some pics of what screws there are on the front bar, and if any are used for fine tuning the fit. I just don't want to be removing screws at random

thx

chris

gtr.doc there are 4 screws on both sides 3 on the side and under the car and one in the wheel arch and about 4 clips (which will need to be replaced) if u live in Canberra i can show u how 2 do it

You cant really fine tune the fit but can take all of the bolts out and replace them in the position that you want ythe front bar to sit in. However youll need another set of hands to help you out.

There are 3 bolts on the front, 1 below EACH indicator, and 1 on EACH bottom of the front quarter panel. Undo all these and pull the front bar/bumper and then off the reinforcement bar and you will have removed the frotn bar.

Thanks for the info, found out what the problem is, the front bracket on the bumper has broken off,or just a 2cm bit of plastic has, so the gromme/screw t is just loose atm in the reinforcement bar. Also can't get the grommet off at the moment, need to cut it off. Anyone have an idea on how to repair it? Ie fibreglass it up etc? Since it's out of site and basically just 2 cm of plastic.

    • You'd want to cap off the re-entry back into the dump too. Just something flat that can be held on by the Vband.
    • Thanks for the recap Matt Z. It was a great day out and I know you have said it already, but we couldn’t have done it without the volunteers.
    • Couldn't agree anymore, massive thanks to all that came by, helped out, or those who just wanted to talk cars. You are the community that make this such a great car club. cant wait for what we have planned for the future
    • Looking at the photos, you could easily just drop this pipe and dump into atmosphere  Just 1 or 2 quick hits for data acquisition - if have a heat shield material and/or sheet metal, maybe just use wire/metal cable ties and attach it in a way to deflect heat from melting nearby wires.
