Hi all,

Im in need of some help, ive bought a crank anle sensor off an rb engine, to be used on a different engine.

Is the gear that goes into the shaft of the sensor able to be detached from the engine?

I found a wiring diagram, http://www.gweeds.net/carpage2/rb25diagram.jpg

But anyone able to tell from the diagram (or your own engine) wether it reads ground, positive, 1 degree, 120 degrees bottom to top, with the latch part of the plug up or down? or can someone take a pic of there plug and wires?

Also is positive is a full 12v?

Thanks heaps

Cory

Hi all,

You mean it's not going onto a RB engine? Or it's from, say, a RB20 and going to, say, a RB25?

I don't believe so. I believe the gear and it's associated half-moon key is part of the camshaft.

Can't help you with the rest right now, maybe tonight after I check at home.
