Hi All,

After the SCC06 QLD Skyline Cruise on Sunday, I had a look at everyone's cars and heard some stories etc... And thought, how good would it be for people to be able to publish their story of how their car got to the stage it is now.

So, yesterday after a bit of looking around and not finding anything other that personal sites people have set up to show the world their unique and individual machine, I registered www.mycarproject.net and plan to make it into... well, a lot of things really. You would be able to blog (I hate that word, but thats essentially what it is) the entire history of your car, document your mods, upload pictures, journal its path from how you got it, to how it is now, comments / mini-forum - topical discussion. Another way I think of it is like a myspace for you car without all the gay yuppie shit (Not that there is anything wrong with being gay) .

It is in no way limited to a particular brand or model of car, although it would allow searching for a particular make/model/year/engine type/size etc... And I want to give people the ability to show and express their interests in their own car. It is not an open forum like SAu, however it should have the ability for other people to express their interests in other peoples cars etc...

So, I'm just after your thoughts on how you would think this would go and what idea's you think would be good to incorporate. I also emailed PranK about creating something similar for SAU only.

Let me know what you think,

Dave

Yeah, I was thinking more of a structured modification history / blurb about each thing you put in there. So you talk about what was done at the latest tune, what things were found / what you tried and the results. Not just. Tuned to 200rwkw.

That way you can sort of timeline the history and changes made to your car. But anyway, I will just turn it into my personal 34 project site.

Cheers,

Dave

    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
    • Thank you so much for the help
    • Yes it is ATF. I quote @Duncan "it takes a good synthentic auto trans fluid like Castrol Transmax Z" It's not a diff. It's a transfer case. Totally different thing. Yes, fluid will come out the sender hole. No you do not really need to drain it. Just pull the old, quickly poke the new, clean up and top up. But realistically, you should probably take the opportunity to change it anyway.
    • Hey all. I’m looking on replacing my speed sensor on my R33 GTR. Will the center differential need to be drained, and if so, the center diff uses ATF fluid D? I found information on the transmission, front diff and rear diff. Can’t find a for sure answer for the center diff. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    • I would tend to agree, especially based on the transfer oil being completely cooked by the sounds of it. I bet it was serviced every 5,000km... Which probably worked out to once every 15,000 real kms...
