DIY Tips wanted on Timing Belt Replacement

Gents,

I'd love to to hear your thoughts on replacing the timing belt DIY style.

Im fairly mechanically inclined and have no major problems about pulling it all apart. My main concern is putting it back together (like most of us I guess) and not stuffing up the timing when its all done!

As I understand it the most important thing is to mark the position of everything before I go taking the belt off - Im sure there is a host of other things I should be aware of before starting.

Any tips on what brand of belt I should get, the price I should expect to pay (I was thinking around $100-$150??) or where I should get it from (Melb)?

Cheers guys :(

PS I did already try searching for this thread somewhere else but with no luck!
