Rolling A Car Onto Its Side, Minimun Speed Needed?

I remember the guy at the Murcott's Defensive Driving day I did a couple of years ago saying that "A vehicle won't roll over... it needs to be tripped over". So u need to actually limit the movement of the base (i.e. wheels) to get the apex (i.e. top of car :)) to tip over.

This either means:

1. Hitting a gutter, pretty much instant stopping of the base with the apex still traveling at a decent speed

or

2. Traveling fast enough and sideways enough (i.e. tight cornering) with the tires STILL GRIPPING for it to have a similar effect to #1 above. I think that it would have to be pretty damn tight cornering to get a vehicle (even if it is a CRV) to roll at 40 km/h... so unless it was pretty much a hairpin turn best bet is she was speeding.
