Clicking Noise When Hard Braking

Just noticed on my R33 GTST when I press my brake pedal about 95% down there is a clicking noise from the front right wheel area. This noise occurs regardless whether I am stopped or in motion.

I have had my brake fluid and brake pads recently changed (a little over 10,000kms ago).

Can anyone tell me the possible cause of this noise?

Mine does it too (R32 GTS-T)... Always has, never bothered looking into it.

A mate assumed it was something taking up a bit of slack somewhere along the braking system.

So this noise is there when your car is at a complete standstill? like start it up in the morning and u can hear it? Which would imply it doesnt have much to do with your brakes.

na the click is only on hard braking...

may brakes also have like a grinding noise from the right hand side...

i also have the grinding noise on my r32 gtst like you DAN, im curious on what it could be too... i thought my abs system was on the way out or air in the system its annoying

man this sounds like a common problem...

Initially I was told to get my rotors machined, which I did but no change...

does anyone know what it may be?

i would say its normal operation of the brakes, being 4 piston i would assume its the dust covers mooving in and out as you push very hard on the pedal causeing them to moove further out of the caliper.

The car doesn't have to be moving for the pedal to make the calipers press...

I lubricated the slides - all fixed! no more noise! :D

i had this exact click fixed the problem bye going to front slotted rotors and ebc red stuff no more click.

maybe the brake pads are on there way out?

i changed both rotor and pads for the front stoped that clicking noise see how you go.

cheers

Does it sound like creaking from the front callipers?

I could be wrong, but i think its the pins extending more than usual due to worn out pads/rotors. Due to them extending more to apply the same braking pressure

I got my rotors/pads replaced and sound is gone. Check your pads if they are low, replace them if so and check if the sound is gone.
