GRRRRRR im really really f*ing pissed off my microtech didnt turn up now i had to cancel my tune till it comes in i been waiting 3 weeks for it grrrrr, and another thing to top the list i put a gtst ecu in to drive it to work today and the car is running rough as guts on start up it seems to run rich and retard for the first like 2 minutes then when you driving it sometimes it feels as if the car is being really restricted like a blocked exhaust or the boost is leaking out somewhere but it doesnt look like either are happing just feels like it hope its just cause its not tunned but i duno now grrr

Hmm bizzaro, you've got GTSt injectors + pump?

i got a 600hp fuel pump, i havent upgraded the injectors but when it went for the first tune the place said they wernt maxed out, although for safty i bought a fuel reg to go in when i get the microtech, i was thinking it could be a fueling issue but i wont really know until i tune it, althought the car very occasionaly searched for idle like up to 1500 then bak down do 800 a few times so it could be the idle control valve being dirty i might try and clean it and see tomorrow,

also cant remember if i mentioned it but the car idels really low with the gtst idle like 500rpm and on cold start up to like mabye 900 so i rekon that could be a little bit of the problem ill see what happenes

ok just pulled off and cleaned my idle control valve was pretty dirty but it didnt seem like it helped at all with anything so i took out the gtst ecu which the car was running like shit on and put my na ecu back on just to test the idle and everything and guess what the car ran perfect so i'd say all it was that the gtst ecu may be damaged or mabye they are not compatable but i doubt that cause the car ran just didnt run to well, oh just means ill have to wait till the microtech comes in put it in then drive the car to the dyno with the base microtech tune no real big loss only that i cant pre book my tune just incase it doesnt show up for a little while hope someones got a spare dyno time next week when it comes in

hey ok microtech is in and running ohh yay, took all day to get the thing to sensible settings cause supposible microtech loaded the wrong maps on it so the place its at spent all day fiddling with all the settings to get it to a safe drivably setting but they ran out of time to weed out a flat spot threw the middle to high power band so they havent done the final tune and power run, its going back in on tuesday and finilizing the injector pulses and the fuel reg settings and a few other things, then he said he's got to leave the car over night till its dead cold to set the cold start and if he can get it right first go which he only has one chance at he'll give me the car bak wed if not he's got to leave it overnight agian and finilize it on thursday, they are doing an extreemly professional job going threw everything helps that they deal with my work so im getting good prices plus they not stuffing me over cause they do then we stuff em over you know what i mean lol, anyways the place is called mahnkens autotune in moorabbin they do excellent work will let you all know the figures when i get em but omg the car already is driving like a dream

hey didnt end up getting a dyno printout cause the printer was broken lol

ended up getting less power than i was expecting got 130rwkw at 6.5psi with the 32 turbo fuel reg stock side mount cooler 600hp fuel pump and microtech, the biggest thing holding it bak is the turbo being way to small it starts to run outa puff around 5200 rpm and drops back to around 5psi boost,

Hrmm.. the dyno must read way low or the car has issues.

I ran an rb20det turbo on my rb30det (25 head) and that made 176rwkw on 9psi, boost peaked to 12psi and then tapered off to 9psi by peak power. No boost control just straight off the actuator. Peak power was made at ~4800rpm. It was all over by 5500rpm. :S

It won't matter if its an rb20,25,26 or 30. The rb20det turbos will always make 165-180rwkw when tuned depending on motor condition, exhaust, cat convertor etc.

The rb20det requires ~1bar where as the rb25head requires ~9psi to make that power.

yeh the cars way more fun to drive second gear put the foot down and wheels start spinning

Yea i think the dyno was running quite low because the previous dyno tune it was 150 at the wheels at a different place, the exhaust is pretty much stock so thats restricting it and its running only 6.5 psi boost stock r33 actuator on 32 turbo, im getting an avo front mount fit for it soon and then i might up the boost and get a full print out.

the car sounds soo nice, instant boost pulls like a train cant feel any lag way better feel than the n/a now just got to do some subsids and ge the power up a bit

    • I'd be very surprised if you can buy new OEM mats. But if you can, I want some too!  Do you have links to the variations you found? Also, where are you located? I found that Nengun is happy to list items to purchase but when you do buy them you'll get an email that it's actually discontinued. As far as I know the variations in floor mats are different colour schemes as well as automatic and manual having a slightly different shape. The automatic ones fit into a manual car without issues, but I think you'd have trouble fitting the other way around. I have photos that show the shape difference if you care. FWIW I bought sets of used floor mats in decent condition at yahoo auctions.
    • Hi 🙋‍♂️. Just bought my Unicorn but the interior need some minor work so it would match my expectations ;). I noticed it is hard to get used oem floor mats in good condition so i started to dig if there's any chance to buy set of new ones. I found two websites - nengun and amayama and it looks like one can still buy factory new floor mats in Japan, but thers a small issue. Some mats (i assume genuine, oem ones) are marked as G4900 and these are "discontinued". The ones you can buy are marked as G4911 but i have no idea if these are also oem, made by other producer or some lower quality replacements that looks entirely different. Can anyone help? 😃  P.s. there is also some strange indication - 0V005, 0V015 and 0V505. Any idea what does it mean? Would appreciate any help with this 🙏
    • Hi, Marek here 🙋‍♂️. I finally fulfilled my longtime dream - recently bought Stagea and now waiting for it to arrive in Poland. There's only few of these in my country, and one of the owners  recommended mi this forum as a source of all the info i'd need since now i own one  so here i am.
    • Version 1 aluminium airbox is.......not acceptable No pics as I "didn't like the look.....alot" Even after all my "CAD", and measurements, the leg near the fusebox just didn't sit right as it ended up about 10mm long and made the angle of the dangle look wrong, the height was a little short as well, meh, I wasn't that confident that Version 1 was going to be an instant winner I might give Version 2 another go, there's plenty of aluminium at work, but, after having in on and off a few times, and laying in the old OEM airbox without the new pod filter and MAF, there may be an option to modify the OEM air box and still use the Autoexe front cover and filter.... maybe This >  Needs to fit in here, but using the panel, and not the pod, the MAF will need to fit in the airbox though> I'm thinking as the old OEM box and Autoexe cover that is sitting in the shed is just sitting around doing nothing, and they are relatively abundant and cheap to replace if I mess it up and need another, it may well fit with some modifications to how the Autoexe brackets mounts to the rad support, and some dremiling to move it get in there, should give me some more room for activities, as I don't want to move the MAF and affect the tune Sealing the hole it requires to stick it in the air box is simple, a tight fit and some pinch weld will seal it up tight  I am calling this a later problem though
    • and it ends up being already priced in as though you're just on 91RON without any ethanol. Car will lose a bit of economy as the short and long term fuel trims bring down the AFR back to stoich or whatever it is for cruise/idle for the engine.
