Cool....all the Malaysians coming out of the woodwork here on SAU! :P I'm from Sabah and wife from Ipoh...we're just ordinary ppl that can only afford skylines over here :) But damn, there are definately more imports in West Malaysia now than say 10 yrs ago! Nice 34 :)

lol if your referring to the highway that goes to and from sepang and KLIA, just wait till you sit in a car with reasonably stiff springs. The road looks fine but it goes up, down, up, down kinda like sitting in a small boat with rough weather haha. The last time i was there i almost puked lol, must be the soil or sth.

Wow, there are so many of you guys from Malaysia on SAU... :)

No worries for rides Bluechip, so long as she's out of the workshop! Yawn; she's at Blitz Garage in Sunway at the mo.. and she might be there for a while yet, as all stroker kits suddenly went out of stock, Tomei, Jun, HKS, etc.. due to the Tokyo Autosalon... some lucky people must have got brand-new parts for cheap recently in tokyo... and yeah, those long, wide roads can be real bumpy if you've got stiff suspension, especially if you're a passanger in one of the rear seats.. But there are some great windy, uphill/downhill roads as well, and many of which I've yet to discover.. ;)

Hi YB Russ

Nice to see u here talking about Malaysia's Skyline ride. Im waiting for your monster to come out too...then i can hide mine at home then sit in urs. Btw i didn't know so many malaysian on this forum, nice!

HEEEELLLOOOO to everyone who is Malaysian and has been to here before. All the Skyline owner here are a great bunch of guys to be with. Many Cheers and hope this thread is a start for everyone to get together someday.

hehehe...we all usually call our mates YB, Tan Sri or Datuk alway...hoping someday we will be one. We do have a blast to every part of Malaysia every month and yesterday was to Bentong to enjoy some refreshing tasteful ice kacang. Still have not post the pictures yet. Meanwhile i have started a new Thread for those interested to view our trips.

wow this thread has surprised me a little. I didnt know there would be too many skylines in malaysia

Im about to head to KL in a few weeks....

Could anyone tell me some places to buy new/2nd hand parts and accessories for my GTR? names, places, brands?

Slippery : Get to Sunway where most aftermarket accessories shops are located. Or try to get hold of the HyperTune Magazine where all the workshop addresses & contact listed. Give them a ring on what ur looking for especially new parts. As for tuners, they are spread thru out KL & PJ area.

Theres been a White R34 GTR for sale in a yard in Kuching for years thats never sold.Nice low k car for someone tho the costs in M'asia are crazy for that sort of car.

I'm from Kuching and yeap I have seen that car in flesh. It's about 30,000kms but the asking price was about $105,000 AuD. Cars there are much more expensive than in Australia. That car is now sold as far as I know. And in Kuching, in my memory there is only about 3 or 4 on the road. If u wanna try to find a dyno machine better send ur car to KL or maybe Brunei because there is none in Kuching.

    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
