i do own a 32gtr. i would say that if u havnt spent any money on a gtr, then jeez u must be the luckiest car owner ever! im talking about little things like steel coolant piping, rubber hoses (that are damn near impossible to get to)

little annoying things that keep the car running. or things like speedo calbes... they are a pain in the arse!

then theres drivers issues. like trying so hard to keep under the speed limit... the cars just wanna go.

in the end, is it worth buying a gtr?

yes a massive money pit.

yes its WAY too easy to speed in it and you can be like a lot of gtr drivers (suspended or lossed license)

yes its worth it!

MONEY PIT IS A MASSIVE UNDERSTATEMENT

BUT THE JOYS OF DRIVING A GTR LET ALONE OWNING A GTR OVER COME THE COMPLAINING HIP POCKET

AND BEING IN THE DEFENCE FORCE U WOULD BE AWAY A BIT SO U WOULDNN'T DRIVE IT THAT MUCH KEEPING THE MAINTAINANCE COST DOWN YEAH

Bit of an update...

2 weeks ago i threw down a deposit on a fresh 32 GTR which is still waiting for its compliance plate from canberra, the wait is killing me!! I came up from Albury to pick it up and at this point not sure if i will drive back down with it, deadline being Tuesday arvo.

Now onto the details..

It's a 93 GTR in gun metal grey... 70,000kms, factory upgraded 320km/h dials, tein suspension, cat-back exhaust and a few bits and pieces on the exterior and interior the body and interior is in immaculate condition. Im paying 22,500 from a dealer which comes with a 3 year upgraded warranty which covers everything.

Pretty happy with myself.. i really do hope it is ready by tuesday :(

Thought id throw a 1 year+ update.. to help any people who are in the situation I was in before..

Car now has;

Power fc

K & N pods

split fire's

excedy twin plate

made 238kw at 1 bar

12.4 @ 108mph (has more in it, run was done with only Road tune, old clutch and shitty tires)

The car has been pretty much faultless.

It did 2 trips from Sydney to melbourne and return..

Bought it at 72k now has 90k..

Had a boost leak when i purchased it, was hard to sort out due to compliancing and registration stopping me from testing it.. But still glad I bought it.

So had the leak fixed..

Replaced the front bushes and then a few months after I fitted the fc. The clutch started slipping so I replaced this with a twin plate excedy item.

The car has popped an intake hose off on two occasions but this is only a 15 minute fix...

Other then these few little glitches it has been faultless, regular servicing and it doesn't skip a beat.

Has seen a few track days/ hill runs and performed perfectly without letting me down..

Very happy with her, turbo upgrade in the next few months and some track modifications to get more competetive..

Cheers Tomek

Ive been a quite a few GTR's. ranging in a few models.. and ive been on a couple of Bikes, Im not a rider tho.. but id have to admit when i took my bro's GSXR 750 k8 for a short squirt.. i almost shit my pants.. giving that bike the full beans up to 100+km/h doesnt even compare to hammering a GTR.. I was almost gonna get a road bike at one stage, but thought id probably end up killing myself. as they are quite dangerous.

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
