"caught 7 times in 16 days for offences on his L's"

"Mark Russell, 18, of Eaglehawk, pleaded guilty in Bendigo Magistrates' Court yesterday to 30 traffic offences between June 11 and October 29 last year"

They should not only take his car, they should arrest the little motherf**ker and throw his ass in jail. He's clearly dangerous and should be taken off the roads as soon as possible.

They should drag him off to the wrecker and make him watch as his pride and joy is crushed into a cube.

If you did 30 something break enter and steal's how much time would you get????What sort of fine /penalty would you receive????

Just remember your little girl/baby boy is not outside crossing the road, the streetside dining area is of no interest to a burglar!!!! Nobody gets harmed or threatened in any way. No bicycle rider, no skater, motorcyclist, jogger, nothing.

Then you compare that to somebody like Mr Russell - 120 in a 60 zone, driving under the influence, using downtown suburbia as his personal racetrack - I reckon he got away with murder, the penalties are nothing. The car was not his it was borrowed, so maybe the real owner should be held accountable as well. Who would lend their car -and such a car - to somebody that got caught that many times doing stupid thoughtless acts with no regard for other peoples safety.

Mr Russell was extremely lucky, one oil patch, one blown tyre, one stray dog and it could have been your son, brother, neice, best mate.

Yep - community service and a fine is the joke. Car taken was risk he took especially being a serial offender FFS.

I hope he spends serious time in Maximum Security. He will be classifed as a prisoner at risk due to his age. He will be his cell mates biatch! Hep C is his next reward for being such a dumb fcuk!

Any drug test done at the time of the offences? Too much of this crap is going on all over.

Ill buy it at auction, itll go for like 8k...

Seriously, read the advertiser article

Turned off lights and drove on the other side of the road

real life is NOT Inital D kids... Damn street racers... what a tosser, jail him.

Nah, its been thrashed, and the headlights are faulty!!!

And it'll be goodbye for the previous owner, you'll maybe be bidding against him???

I know a fella that had his 4wd confiscated because he was a keen gardener. He went and brought it back when it came up for auction [then he did 12 months in a holiday camp, so the timing was ideal for him, he managed to get his vehicle back before he went 'on holidays']

I can't beleive he only got $1200 in fines!!!! When I got caught (A LONG time ago now) going over the limit (100 zone) by 45kms I was fined over $1500, when I was a student still!

For me, that many offences in that many days is go to gaol time - it seems nothing else was worked...

Having had a good mate killed by another driver, who was at fault and being a tool I'd much rather this person wasn't on the street, and was with Bubba.... he has done no one any favours including import drivers, skyline drivers, and most importantly young drivers.

    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
    • Neg, the top one is actually for the front. The sizes are 18x10.5 +18 and 18x11 +32.   I measured many times but I'm sure I'll have problems as this is the thread for problems.
    • Just one thing; tapping tapered threads is tricky. Taps are always tapered and you would generally run it as far as you can, but with a tapered thread you have to stop much sooner otherwise the wide part of the taper will run in too far and you will have to thread the sensor in too far too as well (possible that it will never make a good seal) BTW nice wide wheels, I guess the top one is for the back!
    • Welp, good to know. Will have to wait awhile until steady hands with drills and taps are available. In other news, these just arrived! I will weigh them for posterity. Edit: 11kg each (or 10.9/11.1 depending on what my scale decides over multiple tests, the 18x11 don't seem to weigh noticeably any more than 10.5)
