Was driving through the city with my friend heading home, stopped at the lights..

My lane and the lane next to me, going straight. Lane to my right and my extreme right, are right turn lanes.

I was the 2nd car behind the first at the light, On my right, on the turn right only lanes, a silvia and a skyline behind it.

Lights turned green, we all started to drive. silvia speed straight, cut into the car in front of me, the skyline tried to do the same, but don't have the acceleration to do it cuz it's a small intersection, about 2 cars length.

It reached the other side the same time as I did, I can't stop cuz the car behind me might hit me. I turned and looked at them and they gave me this look like I'm was in the wrong. What a bunch of idiots. If they wanted to come thru, they should have spoke up cuz we were next to each other waiting for the light to change with our windows down.

Driving on para road, pulled up next to this red holden. they shouted 'hey wanna race' i said 'sorry I'm not into street racing'. Started to cop some abuse like 'yeah not into that don't drive blah blah blah etc.."

which at that point i continue to talk to my friend ignoring them.

sorry had to rant.

Some mothers do have em, we are knee deep in idiots. :)

To add to the rant, on the way to work 1 day goin east bound on William st a early 90's Celica came shooting up the left hand side of me at warp speed with a cheesy grin on his face, got near the Kings Cross exit that elavates off to the left & all of a sudden his cheesy expression was replaced with a look of oh f**k this is gonna hurt. Looked ahead to see stopped traffic, then turned back to speed racer to see him with all 4 wheels locked up & smokin big time. The last I saw of him he had braced him self into position 4 impact then lost sight of him when I was goin into the Willaim st tunnel, heard all the screechin but unfortunately didn't hear a bang or smash, always wonder if god was on his side or just ate sh*t. :P

I suppose every1 has an off day or gets a bit excited but thats no excuse to be a d**khead.

Oh man i had some good times last night laughing at some haircuts on george st and the likes, when you have 2 blondes in the vectra and all windows down the looks and comments were spraling in, so funny the girls were g'ing them up too bahahaha...

I dunno if their hairdressers are blind? they have no mirrors in their house or simply have a UGLY HAIR CUT COMPETITION!

Guess I'm lucky coz I haven't had any real incidents since owning both my skylines.

Just some close calls due to idiot drivers. Once a truck started to veer in my lane during peak hour traffic which scared the absolute sh*t out of me & the cars behind.

Yeahhh you do get a lot of idiots in the city which is a big shame....hope i'm not counted as one of them lol...i dont do anything stupid i mind my own business n enjoy myself but yeah sometimes your forced to make some drastic moves to avoid pot holes and taxies coming at you...

AND on another f***kwits note...went to newcastle today with my mates for a nice day got some lunch at the foreshore relaxed went to get dinner and came out to a smashed front windsceen...drivers side was bottled by some loser or losers who are so far from jelous that i know god is going to give them a nice lesson in karma...i'll post pics up tomorrow

Thats for 2 cents thanks hehe

Have to say George St was pretty packed out .. been a long time since ive seen so many hot rides on george street... everyone was out to play ..

I felt inferior in my stocker lol

yeah alot of cars out there.. so different from what i saw tonight (sunday) so so so little cars..

well don't be inferior.. hehe I drive a N/A.. I don't feel inferior..cuz I chose it.. N/A (and GT-4 cuz it's AWD) cuz my previous car was an echo.. I don't wanna die trying to controlling a 250kw car.. hehe cuz I've only been driving for 3 years..

    • There's plenty of OEM steering arms that are bolted on. Not in the same fashion/orientation as that one, to be sure, but still. Examples of what I'm thinking of would use holes like the ones that have the downward facing studs on the GTR uprights (down the bottom end, under the driveshaft opening, near the lower balljoint) and bolt a steering arm on using only 2 bolts that would be somewhat similarly in shear as these you're complainig about. I reckon old Holdens did that, and I've never seen a broken one of those.
    • Let's be honest, most of the people designing parts like the above, aren't engineers. Sometimes they come from disciplines that gives them more qualitative feel for design than quantitive, however, plenty of them have just picked up a license to Fusion and started making things. And that's the honest part about the majority of these guys making parts like that, they don't have huge R&D teams and heaps of time or experience working out the numbers on it. Shit, most smaller teams that do have real engineers still roll with "yeah, it should be okay, and does the job, let's make them and just see"...   The smaller guys like KiwiCNC, aren't the likes of Bosch etc with proper engineering procedures, and oversights, and sign off. As such, it's why they can produce a product to market a lot quicker, but it always comes back to, question it all.   I'm still not a fan of that bolt on piece. Why not just machine it all in one go? With the right design it's possible. The only reason I can see is if they want different heights/length for the tie rod to bolt to. And if they have the cncs themselves, they can easily offer that exact feature, and just machine it all in one go.
    • The roof is wrapped
    • This is how I last did this when I had a master cylinder fail and introduce air. Bleed before first stage, go oh shit through first stage, bleed at end of first stage, go oh shit through second stage, bleed at end of second stage, go oh shit through third stage, bleed at end of third stage, go oh shit through fourth stage, bleed at lunch, go oh shit through fifth stage, bleed at end of fifth stage, go oh shit through sixth stage....you get the idea. It did come good in the end. My Topdon scan tool can bleed the HY51 and V37, but it doesn't have a consult connector and I don't have an R34 to check that on. I think finding a tool in an Australian workshop other than Nissan that can bleed an R34 will be like rocking horse poo. No way will a generic ODB tool do it.
    • Hmm. Perhaps not the same engineers. The OE Nissan engineers did not forsee a future with spacers pushing the tie rod force application further away from the steering arm and creating that torque. The failures are happening since the advent of those things, and some 30 years after they designed the uprights. So latent casting deficiencies, 30+ yrs of wear and tear, + unexpected usage could quite easily = unforeseen failure. Meanwhile, the engineers who are designing the billet CNC or fabricated uprights are also designing, for the same parts makers, the correction tie rod ends. And they are designing and building these with motorsport (or, at the very least, the meth addled antics of drifters) in mind. So I would hope (in fact, I would expect) that their design work included the offset of that steering force. Doesn't mean that it is not totally valid to ask the question of them, before committing $$.
