Munro,

I don't think anyone minds :D It's good to see you posting on these forums!

When you sell those brakes drop me a line :) I've been looking for GTR brembo's for ages, every time a set comes up, they're snapped up straight away!

Sorry to hijack but:

No one really knows the potential of marios GTR as its has very little track time and as we know it takes alot of it to get faster.

Also john, when martin left morpowa, did u consider bringing ur business with him? or are u still happy with tilbrooks and the new sub zero dude?

Good luck with beating kier i spose. U guys are both legends for wat u are doin.

I was put in a very akward position 'cause I am good mates with Martin & with Mark Tilbrook.I was allways very happy with Martins work & the huge amount of effort he put into the Race car project.

As there has also been lots of effort made by Mark Tilbrook & he has offered to fully sponsor the car as far as labour goes I have decided at this stage to stay with Tilbrook Auto & Dyno. The car also has a few parts on it that belong to Mark.I am confident that Mick Stanic is skilled & has the know-how to keep pushing the development of this project to the next level. At the same time, I believe that Simon & Martin at Morpowa are also very good at what they do & would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone wanting work done on their car.Adelaide is a small town & I wont get involved in the politics, I just want to go fast & have a good time racing my car. If you are not sure who to use for tuning talk to both workshops & make up your own mind.

Most people would deem this impossible, so unless you got a power graph... I'd love to see a dyno chart of that. People can talk the talk, especially when they wanna sell you something...

I never once said it made full boost at 3000rpm

Hey JMS

I know you didn't, but rob77 did (and others elsewhere).... It was not directly aimed at JMS, more to the people who had no idea... I also implied that people talk it up when they wanna sell you something, and lets face it, a lot of people do.. Not saying that JMS do, it was a statement towards not always believing what people say... I have never seen JMS say it made full boost at 3000rpm, but if other people have the idea that it does, then someone has told them... And the owner of a car is the most likely to do so....

I was lookin a getting a trust TD06. Terry from JMS just installed one onto his Rb25 powered 32 and made 308rwkw @1.2bar and full boost a 3000rpm. I left early yesterday and didn't see what he ran ...... would have been interesting

taa daa... now sod off.

Sorry Rob...you still said it, and believed it. I did realise where you got the information from.. i did read that thread...

The TD06 is a Mitsubishi Canter Diesel turbo, just so you all know... It comes off a truck....

Rob, if you want to read something and then parrot it, stating that something is so, perhaps you should be big enough to wear it..

Statements like the one above show a lack of maturity, perhaps you would be well to remeber that if you say something be prepared for it to be challenged. There is a difference between saying 'I read that this turbo can do this' and 'this turbo does this'.

Be a man and stand by your words, not hide behind someone else.

Thanks for the apology sydneyneykid. Steve, call me gullable, I read something and repeated it, I am so sorry, go **** yourself. I read the thread and believed what he said, get a ****ing life shit for brains.

u r a dickhead mate.

Sydneykid and steve actually know what they r talking about, u just repeat crap that other people say without proof and then when some1 questions u, u have no evidence to back it up besides typing more mindless dribble.

You guys are great you know everything about everything. Boost said that the TD06 made full boost by 3000rpm, I just *assumed* it did, I wasnt the one who made the original statement. Next time I'll double check my facts before I even say a word, get a life fella's this is just a forum.

Perhaps, but you know what they say, the dog that barks the loudest isnt the one that will bite.

Rob, perhaps you should change your nick to 'gullable' as you said in your post, then no one would ever challenge what you say and you could be happy.

    • Thanks for the response. This is an 04 EP3 Type R. JDM spec. Fairly certain they're just basic BC racing coils. I do plan to keep as the ride quality on stock I've been told is pretty meh given Sydney roads. If I were to go down that avenue, does NSW require them to be a certain spec (close to original) etc?
    • Should have asked what is the car?
    • I've had two super conflicting experiences with blue slips. My 30 year old E39 waltzed through with no issues but my brother in law was knocked back on 12 y/o 3 series due to wiper blades and some cracking in a control arm bush.  What kind of coil overs? Do you want to keep them after?  If it was me I'd get some dirt cheap shocks and springs from eBay or scumtree. Not ideal but will get you over the line and might even be less than $1k.
    • Hey guys,  Way back when (about 15yrs plus), I picked up a beautiful set of Tein 'Super Racing Spec Circuit Master RE' coilovers from Russman. I have legit never fitted them to my car, as it was garaged indefinitely while i bought a house Yada Yada. They look brand new! Anyway its time to pick up where I left off, and have started doing some khanacross and am booked in for a hill climb next month. The car has some hard af Nismo shocks in ATM, which has me wanting to upgrade again, and now I am left wondering if it's worth having these teins rebuilt? I think they where an ok shock back then, but how do they compare to what's on the market now?  Shockworks/mca are 2800+, and I am sure they are great. But if I can have these rebuilt and be better than, say, a set of bc's for around the cost of bc's, I would be happy with the performance v cost trade off.  If they are considered outdated and rubbish these days, so be it, I'll put them on the shelf and be happy to look at the pretty green colour while I save for the SW/MCA option. Grateful for your thoughts on the matter, and suggestions on who could do the rebuild if it's a worthwhile pursuit.  cheers, Rowdy.
    • I can't speak for the US, but for Canada as I mentioned above, all fuel gases contain ethanol. We have regulations for E5/E10/E15. Each province handles it differently but basically any fuel gases sold must be E10 and slowly increasing to E15 by a certain year.
