It would be a much better option to get your original engine rebuilt!

There isn't many second hand one's laying around, so there going to be costly.

Or you could goto a mitsu. dealer and get a new long or short motor.

I've had a customer do that before!

i seen em advertised at one of the import wreckers in the latest zoom magazine, cant remember the name of the shop but it was $3000 i think.

gto's are underrated in Oz, go check out 3si.org as mentioned and u will see the yanks rate the 4g63 up along side the 2jz for strength and potential :P buy one billet tf case and u have a damn strong driveline too as they are known to break tf cases. one gto ran 9.7 down the 1/4 mile and made 900awhp+ on stock internals :P and plenty are running 600awhp+ on stock internals and running low 11s and high 10s.

i got a gto and its an awesome car for daily use and zero lag with great torque, totally different style of engine to my rb26 thats for sure.

good luck

    • thanks, will conduct myself accordingly. i unfortunately put about 150 miles on the car before reading this thread again, however no PS issues, and definitely no turbo issues. it spools normally and still feels fast to me, probably because my previous car was an N/A auto sedan...gonna go fix the PS vacuum line though lol. safe to say, got what i came to this thread for. thanks
    • Agreed, I've never seen a 260RS specific manual. As GTSBoy said it will mostly be stagea other than the engine loom https://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/stageaservicemanual.pdf
