I really believe its the fuel as it has happened once before.

My advice is as follows - do not use shell optimax, the first time this happened i had just had a dyno tune and I filled up the next day. I noticed all of a sudden the car wasnt running properly.

I took it back to the place i got it tuned and they checked it out.

They said they couldnt see anything wrong and it may be the fuel, so i ran out the fuel and used Mobil Synergy, reset my ECU and everything went back to normal.

I think this could be the same case although my car isn't lacking as much as the first time.

I went to shell in Narre Warren on the corner of Webb St, and the second time it was shell in Narre Warren on the Pricess HWY.

Thanks for the advice guys

:D

The only fuel guaranteed to be 98RON is BP Ultimate. The rest dont i've heard.. A few ppl have tested teh stuff in the lab and BP/U always comes out on top..

But i think its a co-incidence that your car is stuffing up after filling up with Optimax however.

Guy's my car is better!!!

I finished the last tank of petrol and refueled with Mobil Synergy and I also added some octane booster.

I reset my ECU and went for a drive and I felt that my car is adjusting back to normal.

What a relief.

Thanks heaps guys for you help

:uh-huh:

Good to see. Mobil Synergy 8000 is great stuff, both in terms of performance and economy.

Optimax can be very varied i have found.. I don't trust it to be consistent that often, but unfortunately its more freely available in melb.

Guys i got more shit news!

Since last tuesday I had noticed a distinct rattle and pin pointed it to my cat converter. Yesterday I had it checked out and straight away I was told my cat was stuffed.

I also found out my cat was for a 2 1/2 inch system when I got a turbo back 3" then after the cat its 3 1/2".

This Monday Im going to get a high flowed 3" cat which should make a lil more noise and improve the flow.

I have to fork out $300 for it although in the end I think its worth it.

You can reset your ECU by having your battery disconected for 24 hours or if you want a short cut disconect the battery and hold your foot on the brake peddal for 2-3mins. Although when you do this make sure your steering is straight and when you have done this go for a little drive and you ECU will adjust itself.

My cat was just stuffed from street driving, although my exaust system could have contributed to it as having the smaller cat restricted the flow, the exaust guy said without me even telling him the story "did you have shit petrol" so I guess that was the cause of my cat going. A new 3" high flowed is $330 fitted, which I am quite happy about.

That a good idea Nismoman18, I hope everything works to plan!

:uh-huh:

    • 4 to 5 is fine. It will be slow, but that's better than blowing turbos. I don't have a PS pump idle up solenoid on my car, because... I think when we put the Neo in we retained my R32 lines. But.... From inspecton of the R34 vacuum hose diagram, you can see that the solenoid needs to be connected to the turbo inlet as source of clean air) and the plenum (as source of vacuum - which is the place for the air to flow to to cause the idle to increase). So 3 to 1 is VERY WRONG. 3 should go to either the turbo inlet, or the plenum. Follow the other hose from the PS solenoid and if it goes to the plenum, then your 3 goes to 2 2 would also serve as a bleed port for a boost solenoid.
    • Pull them out and pull more apart. You can't do shit with them still bolted to the floor of the car.
    • Yes it is. ZD1 is on the other side of the board. Where ZD1 is marked is clearly opposite a 2 pin device. Our 3 pin device here is not a ZD.
    • Alright, a little update on this... I called Fulcrum, who used to be the distributor in Australia. No Bueno, they don't service them anymore.  Called shock works, who don't service them but offered to dyno the shocks for performance, and suggested DNA in Sydney might service them.  Called DNA, who also do not service them and basically said they try to steer customers away from tein for this exact reason these days- there is just no support for them anymore apparently.  Both SW and DNA said they are a not necessarily a bad product, but they just don't service the brand or know anyone who does service the brand anymore.  So... I could keep calling around but at this point I think I'll probably just spring for the shockworks product, unless anyone here knows anything.  Cheers 🍻
    • That's not a transistor --- it's marked ZD1 which makes it a zener diode. As to what the breakdown voltage is, not enough there to divine.
