Trying to replace the rear lower trim in an R32 (the one pictured below).

Ran into a problem when fitting the new one, can't find a way to run the seat belt through the square hole at the top of the trim.

This isn't an issue when removing the old trim, as I just cut a hole in the panel to pull it out.

But can't seem to find a way to run the seatbelt through the new trim piece. The end of the seatbelt which is exposed is looped around the slide bar and doesn't look like it will fit through the hole, and I don't want to disassemble the restractor.

Any ideas?

Undo the slide rail bolts and take the belt off the slide rail - it fits through. You'll obviously also have to undo the top guide bolt and run that through aswell.

I just pulled mine out yesterday
