My 32 in the last week has developed several problems...

LHS indicator doesnt work at all... light doesnt come on the dash and none of the side flashers work... hazzards also dont work but the RHS works fine.

Central locking from the drivers side doenst work any more.. however when you lock the door with the key it works fine.

Speedo no longer works... Plastic bit between the dash and the cable drive was broken so i repaired it with some glue... but it keeps failing over 80 kph... have fixed it 3 times and im sick of pulling the dash apart to get to it./. can you buy these things new from nissan or what?

Cheers

Simon

Make sure you havnt disconnected the hazzard cable when you were taking out your speedo.

With your indicators, you might have some electrical fault (take it to an expert and get a free quote)

The speedo you probably need to replace, they are about $50 and easy to install. Do you mean that once you go over 80km/h it just show

most of those parts you can get easy from people who wreck these cars. i know a good wrecker in melbourne who should have all these parts, PM me if you want his number.

I to have also snapped the plastic jig that goes between the cable and cluster. It is wedged in the cable good and tight. Hopefully i can get it out so I dont have to replace the entire cable.

The car is due over the pits by Wednesday.

Might have to replace the cluster and the cable. Lets hope not.

well thanks for that useful post.

Speedo plastic bit failed.. again.. super glue just cant handle it.

Nissan Genuine parts dont list the part on their computers. I would have to buy the whole speedo cable. @ $110

little annoying... as the cable in mine is fine.. i just need the plastic drive and NO one has them

well thanks for that useful post.

Hi Simon,

I think he's referring to the thread title. There is no such word as 'numberous', it should be numerous.

With the central locking, if it works with the key, the actuator is working. It may be a wiring fault between the keyless entry control and the actuator - that is, the actuator isn't receiving the signal from your keyless entry/alarm/immobiliser control.

Hope that helps dude, good to hear you sorted most of the problems.
