umm a Mitsubishi Legnum VR-4 hands it to Stageas with a stick in the looks department.

No offence but you can't argue with that:

2.5L twin turbo 4wd to boot too, and from what I've read a better car to drive, handling ( has AYC like an Evo), Interior is far superior, blah blah

^^notice he didn't use the rear shot?

:pwned:

Yeerrr your riggght it makes me what to loose my lunch instantly... mate suck my balls.

This is infinately better

Pffft

They are both wagons.. so it's harder off the bat to look good. To say that a stagea is in a different league when considering the rear is a joke.

FW bias < RW bias any day

It may have a slight fw bias I think that With the goodies AYC etc it handles great put suspension on and your laughing. Not to mention WRC prefer a fw bias but thats getting waaay off topic. Don;t fool your slef with your wagons rw bias... what are you going to go sliding in a 4wd ?

Anyway. An importer who has driven both has said that the mitsu is a better drive and HANDLES better.

this is a Stagea section conrad, not a Legnum section

wtf kind of response are you after?

after all, your opinion and someone elses opinion wont necessarily = the same opinion.

personally I think the legnum sucks goat coch, but what I think obviously doesnt matter, does it?

this dealer you spoke of, did he/she discuss with you the expansive/expensive problems Legnums have with their tranny boxes? mild mods to the Stagea, such as a higherflowing turbo (how they should have come standard!) and swaybars with big meaty shock absorbers, would definately change this dealer friends opinion. 100% guaranteed.

but meh, so what. opionions count for nothing

Yeerrr your riggght it makes me what to loose my lunch instantly... mate suck my balls.

Dude, how about a nice cold drink of chill the f**ck out?

Opinions are like arseholes buddy, everyone has one, and some people like to show theirs on the internet.

I know I do, but it doesn't mean you need to kick it for me :pwned:

Dry ur eyes princess, not everyone is gonna agree with you on everything.

The question was put " what other wagons besides a 300c look as cool as a stagea? " so I answered.

I'm a Nissan man... though lets face it there Are better looking wagons, and that was the farking question. Opinions are well opinions... but if we took an aggregate collections of votes on which was more aesthetically endowed then you'd have the Leggie come out on top 90%. Just face it.

That's great that you like stageas (they are great cars).. and the fact that their looks make you feel giddy is ace, enjoy it.

Standard they are better handling cars.. that's what I've heard.. so I won't take it as gospel. But it's reason enough to warrant thought.

Aftermarket... well... likewise... how much money do you wanna spend at both?

Apologies if you took it as kicking you.. I was just saying I couldn't disagree more. Suck my balls was more figure of speech, it didn't translate obviously.

You used the vomit icon when comparing the rear end and when I post a pic of both up.. I think it's clear for all, that besides that they look bloody similar because they are both a farking wagon.. you couldn't call either of them far superior from each other... buts that's all arseholes/opinions.

I just took the your approach as not even seeing the picture.

That said. I didn't want to start a debate on which car you can jerk off to more.. I'll save that for another time and thread.

The First question remained, and I simply said yes I think there are other contenders.

true 'dat.

I guess we all have our reasons for owning "enter brand name/type here" said vehicle.

I for one wanted a skyline for the rb25 powah but a) couldnt fit (too tall) and b) need room for pram and kids.

stagea was the obvious choice. on a budget too (ie under 20k), couldnt find anything else at the time that offers the same or better "bang for buck"..... if only I could get a 3.0l twin turbo Supra wagon !!!

legnum's have only been recently ADR compliance approved, they wern't an option when a lot of the lads here in this sau stag section got their stagea's.

umm, Audi RS4 Avant?

BMW M5 Estate?

jus sayin....

lol yeh i forgot those ones.

Yeah look, the stagea is a great practical car that has far more performance than anything local.. and your right we do each have our own differences. I'll leave it there to not further rumble the nest.

Oh and damn you must be tall to not fit into a skyline

Supra estate.. lol.

so your 12.

ah ok.

f**k some people need to chill out :laughing-smiley-014:

i bought a stagea, but not cos of the looks. you can only get so much from a car

haven't got the bastard yet, but i'm hoping i'll like the ability to chuck my DH bike in the back (hopefully.. without taking the wheels off ....), the ability to go on sick holidays with lots of swag .. and still have fun in it...

I like mine cause its the only RED one Ive seen yet. [edit] In a Series 2 I mean

Oh yeah, there's the Leather interior, dual sunroofs, and the mirrors fold in when you lock it. I am a simple man with simple needs. I love it.

*rush's off to toilet for "quiet time alone*

and yes, I am 13

haha...

As for conrad, I think its a little unfair your comparing kitted cars in your pics, to a stock as a rock s1 stagea.

As for what I love about mine -

[s2] The woodgrain

[s2] Steering wheel shifting (ton of fun)

Leather seats (we've had this argument before, I like em')

Dual Sunroofs

Turbo spool just sounds awesome

It feels bulletproof

After driving a friends Sr20 180.. realised just how smooth it is

:) around a corner in the wet

And just the room inside, I won't have to sell it when I start a family

    • Yeah well per the video it took 15s for the stock unit to start up....even if I give it a few seconds discount for starting that is at least 12 sec before you get a reverse camera if you are trying to leave a park.  The android unit is way faster, but 2016 for the stock unit is a long time ago in consumer electronics
    • Yea that’s why I said ima test them with multimeter and see the reads.
    • Only at idle. Isn’t a problem when rev it seems.
    • @Haggerty This seems silly to ask, but are you confident in your ability to tune the Haltech?
    • Next on the to-do list was an oil and filter change. Nothing exciting to add here except the oil filter is in a really stupid place (facing the engine mount/subframe/steering rack). GReddy do a relocation kit which puts it towards the gearbox, I would have preferred towards the front but there's obviously a lot more stuff there. Something I'll have to look at for the next service perhaps. First time using Valvoline oil, although I can't see it being any different to most other brands Nice... The oil filter location... At least the subframe wont rust any time soon I picked up a genuine fuel filter, this is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. Access can be found underneath the rear seat, you'll see this triangular cover Remove the 3x plastic 10mm nuts and lift the cover up, pushing the rubber grommet through The yellow fuel line clips push out in opposite directions, remove these completely. The two moulded fuel lines can now pull upwards to disconnect, along with the wire electrical plug. There's 8x 8mm bolts that secure the black retaining ring. The fuel pump assembly is now ready to lift out. Be mindful of the fuel hose on the side, the hose clamp on mine was catching the hose preventing it from lifting up The fuel pump/filter has an upper and lower section held on by 4 pressure clips. These did take a little bit of force, it sounded like the plastic tabs were going to break but they didn't (don't worry!) The lower section helps mount the fuel pump, there's a circular rubber gasket/grommet/seal thing on the bottom where the sock is. Undo the hose clip on the short fuel hose on the side to disconnect it from the 3 way distribution pipe to be able to lift the upper half away. Don't forget to unplug the fuel pump too! There's a few rubber O rings that will need transferring to the new filter housing, I show these in the video at the bottom of this write up. Reassembly is the reverse Here's a photo of the new filter installed, you'll be able to see where the tabs are more clearing against the yellow OEM plastic Once the assembly is re-installed, I turned the engine over a few times to help build up fuel pressure. I did panic when the car stopped turning over but I could hear the fuel pump making a noise. It eventually started and has been fine since. Found my 'lucky' coin underneath the rear seat too The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44&t=6s
