hi everyone. tried searching this but no luck.

just wondering if there are any complications with aftermarket seats in a r33 gtst. im looking at either bride, sparco or recaro. havnt decided yet. also does anyone know of a good place to purchase these items with seat rails also. or can u usually mod the standard rails. obviously the seat needs to be secure or the cops wont like it but does anyone usually get defected for it.

cheers guys.

just want to know, if a seat has a univaersal rail, does that mean no mods are needed to fit the seat or does it mean they bolt on?

i was lookin at buying these but want more info b4 i commit

Most bride seats are ADR approved, some are even FIAT approved. Ask for the ADR approval paperwork when ordering.

This is only my thoughts, but think about how the seat will react in a crash. As I would like to have something that will not buckle and causing trauma injuries just so that I can have the look of the real thing. Skimping on some things when building your car will not be a problem, however do not compromise your safety for the sake of looks.

Hi,

I purchased some aftermarket, non-reclinable seats and i was unable to put them in due to my Skyline being a 2 door car. The cope told me that if i were to have a crash the people in the back couldnt get out. so make sure you dont go and waste your money by making the same mistake. i ended up selling them for more anyway :P . Ebay has a great variety of reclinable racing seats, im sure the seller would be able to supply the CAD approval etc. however it all depends on the cash limit, and what quality you want.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?

LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
