Rex --4Wd 2.5 Turbo 4 Door....New..comes with warranty ,3 Years and goes like a rocket.Newer features and luxury's.

Gtst ---2WD 2.5 Turbo 2 door...old...Lots of money for repairs and maintenance..older dash ,less creature comforts.

It is a personnel preference .....I have seen superb gtst's and wrx's....but technology is far more advanced in a rex new

than a 14 year old gtst33.

It is like you are putting an apple and an orange together and trying to work out the differences.

If you are really comparing a rex (NEW)...dollar for dollar ,you would have to say a gtr34(Stock)or even a nice gtr33(with all the extras)is nearly the same price.

Now you are comparing apples to apples:D

Meh .... two totally different cars and designs. We own both (although not a new wrx ).

Its personal taste. I personally don't like the new wrx's.... hate the look and they have lost the appeal for me.....test drove one and thought about it and decided to buy another R33 and keep the 97 Wrx wagon.....

To work on mechanically... the wrx is a pain in the ass with the boxer engine.

My 2 cents anyways.

test drove a 06 rex and felt my only slightly modded r33 was a better sorted car in terms of performance and feel on the road.

The awd is great for the wet but you can also have a bit more fun in the rwd..if you're careful

Obviously it was a newer car - less rattles and nicer inside - but hey for another 25k you'd hope so.

R33s are bloody reliable

I would buy the WRX.

It has fewer letters in it, so you'll be more likely to spell it correctly.

thanxsdks for repalying ;)wrex or skyline.. i go wid skyline

AAAAAAAAAAHHAHAHHAHAHA... :)

Seriously man are u just bashing the keyboard and hoping it closely resembles correctly spelt English words?? :)

no, i only thought of WRX coz, thats the only sports car you can get with reasonable price n newer model.

Can you get any other newer sports car, same price as wrx? apart from ugly big headed lights on toyota celica-

i dont like the newer wrx from behind, big lights looks horrible, i just saw one few days ago lol

so now i go for skyline :) still deciding..

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
