Also, I am willing to swap the remaining set of brakes with a complete set of Brembo fronts for a R33 GTR with a slight cash adjustment. Ie. I require the calipers, rotors, hats, adaptors and lines

Have photos for both sets. Can email if required. Leewah

Come on!! These are great deals.

Heaps of people out there want GTR Brembos for their car. Why don't you want APs?

These are both 6 piston setups and both brake packages shite all over the Brembo setup and none of you want them? Unbelievable ;)

I wouldn't say they are overpriced but I think it is more a case that not many people have that sort of money lying around atm.

There are some good bargains on this forum , ie Munros 6 speed , Merlis clutch or my clutches , some cheap R33's but it's a case of who has the spare fold atm.

Cheers

Ken

Ohh and free bump leewah , just spewing cos I bought some minus hats and adaptors and paid close to the price you're asking

Yep , no problem but unfortunately a forum cannot express emotion or voice inflection.

Maybe a slightly more obvious bump for the visually impaired would be a better idea.

Ohh and btw leewah , have emailed you re. the brakes.

cheers

Ken

I have 6 Pot AP Racing Brakes on my R33.

By far the best modification done to the car. If you are a real driver of any description with an affinity to trackwork, these brakes would be an EXCELLENT addition to your car...

Watch your confidence soar and your lap times drop.

Real drivers would make do with a standard brake, or anything they got on the car... A proper braking techniques should reduce the lap time, too... Been there, done that...

Don't get me wrong, these are some good stuffs... Too bad that I am still not deciding what I will do on my car after college... I think they are just expensive, not over-priced... They should worth every penny if your engine's up to it...

I can no longer fit 16" wheels to my car which has 328mm front rotors.

So with either set up i think its safe to say you need 17" or bigger rims before you start to worry about offset and caliper clearance.

How used are the rotors in the $3500 kit?

The rotors on the $3500 kit were used for about 3 months of normal road use. I didn't take the car to the track/dragstrip at all due to fuelling issues so it was all normal (non performance) street driving.

Before the rotors went onto my car, they were fully machined. There is a slight groove on the inside the rotors but nothing drastic.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
