just letting you guys know about In Tune Performance. just had the timing belt done (fitted gates performance belt), walbro 550hp fuel pump fitted, all front belts , coolant and fuel filter replaced and safc2 dyno tuned. cost 350 to fit everything (had all the parts) and 160 to dyno the safc. went in with 256rwhp and come out with 271rwhp (could be cause of different dynos). car definately sounds happier(exept for a bit of noise from the new timing belt (was expected)). recommend him for work south of river. located at unit 3/28 salpietro st, bibra lake. ph 94346608,Aaron Gregory. p.s. he has no eftpos so cash only

hey pal, so what parts did you take yourself exactly ? i want to do the same thing.

he did not fit the safc , only tune .did not change oil. only coolant and fuel filter. i took in a new gates timing belt, fuel pump, alt belt, power steering belt and aircon belt, all from repco, cost about 170 bux for all the belts and ebay fuel pump. hes not keen on pfc's (haltec man) but give him a ring.

ive just had my 32 come back from intune and very happy. aaron looked after me with any problems i had. i got a haltech e-11 installed and tuned x force exhaust, 550 walbro pump, plugs, fuel filter and the map sensors for the ecu done too. i need injectors too but ran out of time with them as i am moving to karratha, so to stop it leaning out the rev limiter has now been set to 5800 rpm untill im back in perth or have the car sent down. but yeah give him a call he is very good

Ive only heard good things about them inc some extreme Race cars and i think they were one of the Shops that did the Training with Wolf over the last 2 weeks.Must be good with Microtech

As their tuning an S6 RX7 Drag car with 20B Quad rotor PP with 3 GT40 ITS Turbos and lots of NOS,Very tough car to tune.

hey Daniel, wot sort of power did u get out of that setup. looking at the same setup for my 33

At the moment the car is only making 225 rwhp because the injectors are maxed out and i had run out of time to get bigger ones (i moved to karratha)

also because the injectors are maxed out the rev limiter is now set at 5800rpm instead of 8000rpm to stop me blowing up the motor.

And the car is actually n N/A and aaron reckons it should be making around 270 to 280 rwhp with bigger injectors

E manage is well under $1000 - and probably your cheapest option. I gives full ecu functionality with alot of extra features, but still utilises factory coldstart, accel enrichement, idle control etc - emanage ultimate comes with laptop software for tuning too.

They are an interceptor type ecu, so nothing too major to wire up.

Considering power fc is getting a bit scarce (new, around 1K - but they stopped manufacturing), emanage would probably be one of the cheapest, best options.

your best bet would be to do a search in the performance section, or post up there if you cant find what you are looking for - at least that way you wont be accused of whoring other peoples threads

the safc2 is only a piggy back to the ECU. to replace the stock ECU you will need to go to a power fc, haltec, e-manage, EMS. these will cost from 1500 up to buy, and 500 up to fit and tune.

yeh, what steve said

    • Hang on. Let me get this straight. The desire is to have coilovers, BC in particular, to be MORE comfortable on Sydney roads than stock suspension? Well, that's obviously not right. BCs have crude damping design at the very best, and typically hard spring rates. BC stands for Billy Cart. And then, the desire is to put in some shitty old worn out stockers, to get it blue slipped and then put the BCs back in? And then.....what? Not worry about getting pulled up by the Plod? Because you seem to have raised a worry about paying for engineering (which actually does solve all your legality problems) and still getting pulled up.... but the only problem there is that if/when that happens you have to show your paperwork at the inspection station. Whereas, if you just swap in borrowed shitty old stockers to get it slipped now, and then you get defected in the future, you have to go find more shitty old stockers then too. You course of action looks like this set of options: Buy brand new stock type dampers, and springs. probably cost a bit more than $1k all up, but will last for the remaining life of the car. Put them in, pass inspection, drive on them forever more. Hell, they could even be really nice Bilsteins and Kings or other lower&stiffer springs if you wanted. Get the car engineered as is. ~$1k. Buy new Shockworks coilvers (or MCA) and also pay for engineering. You're spending a lot more here. But these will be the best things that you could drive around on.
    • Might be worthwhile hitting up Facebook's groups, I know most of them contain terrible people and scammers - however you might be able to find someone that's in Sydney with factory suspension you could purchase and/or hire. Just do not send any form of money anywhere, in person cash only.
    • Thanks @Duncan Ride height is fine. I think it's almost stock tbh. Happy to share a pic. I don't actually have a regular mechanic as haven't lived in Sydney too long. Could you or anyone recommend any shops in Sydney?
    • You just need a different blue slip shop (preferably one you regularly use as a mechanic), and make sure the coil overs are as close as possible to standard height
    • yeah the sugar refining companies were pushing for the same in Oz originally, all fuels were going to have 10% ethanol to make them "cheaper" (noting, that the loss in l/100 might be greater than the decrease in price). I guess they won that fight in Canadia
