Well I got on there & sorted 'em out. Of course, I am one of them as well, but I need a tow car & the carbon fibre diffuser under the R34 gets in the way of the towbar!!!

We will have to watch out when they all start throwing big turbos on them though - seems all the dyno comp guys are running turbo

injected V8s. At least when it gets twisty we'll be gone.

My post:

"What can I say. I recently sold my ClubSport to buy a Skyline! The performance is unbeatable. It was a week of driving before I could get out of the car without shaking from adrenaline. Its not just a straight-line machine either. The cornering performance just has to be experienced to be believed. The HICAS (electronic 4 wheel steer) will change your life. A '93 Skyline has more features than a '98 clubsport! (climate control, electronics, lock system, etc etc etc). I'm totally sold on the skylines. You look at these cars, read the specs and think 'wow', but honestly, that does them no justice. You just can't imagine what they are like. Do yourself a favour, find a good Skyline driver, and ask for a ride. They aren't called Godzilla for nothing..."

Hardly does it justice, but how do you describe to a Holden owner what a Skyline is like? Its like trying to describe sex to a virgin...

I think it's funny in that thread there is someone saying "2 many R33's round these days" in a Commodore forum!

hahahahahahahahahahahhaaaa

It would be good for US if skylines were so common in a way.. we would get heaps of cheap parts etc :P and cheap insurance!!!

ahhh well its nice to dream

Guilt-Toy, I don't care that R33's are common either, but I do get annoyed to hear the "R33's are everywhere" thing, when they are still far far short of Commodores and Camries and Falcons etc. No one ever comments on that, not even me because I really don't give a toss :P

I thought they were very open in there comments and most of them did not cut imports down like they normally do. I loved my SS when I had it but my skylines is a much nicr and faster car to drive but I'm sorry, you just cant beat that V8 roar. (except a GTR with open external watergates)

Good on you guys.

they have been quite good on there actually. i'm keeping an eye on the post. they know they cant match a skyline for performance. they complain about 'riced' cars, with wings etc. mods to make a slow car look better, but what about all the dunny lids on commodore bonnets!?! and the stupid wings (like hrt bathurst size wings), and other half assed mods (under chassis lights, where only one side works). they are way worse than 'riced' jap cars. its just so common everyone's used to it

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
