Very nice and clean has an aggressive look to it but I have to recommend Car Toys to clean up the headlights, get rid of that 33 foggy headlight thing

Congrats on the purchase and Hi Tech dyno is a quality workshop John really knows skylines and how to treat them good luck with it

Thanks for the comments guys :3some:

Madaz: I'm very aware it's defectable, but fingers crossed as I try to stay out of trouble :spank:

TuffR32: Any idea for Car toys to do the headlight clean?

Hey lads, I don't know if your aware but there is a cleaning product out there from Maguires called "Plastic Polish"........ This product works really well, I have some if you really want to borrow it!!! i'd hate to think how much Car Toys is slugging you for prob a similar treatment.......LOL

Heard a story once about this 33 owner that went into a wrecker who had some clean as headlights, this person wanted to buy them because his were foggy!!! The wrecker said yeh no worries, give us yours and $300 and they are yours............ The wrecker guy turned around and started polishing the foggy ones......... 5-10 min later he puts them on the shelf for the same price as the good ones......LOL I found that to be rather amusing!

um this is the oldest thing with a skyline along with the clicking from the a/c lol. You can use tooth paste, i use brasso, also i think cut and polish works.......

I don't know about you dan but my air con dont click... must be a s1 owner common thing?

It's more like that, and the f**ken power windows.

Nah your just one of the lucky few....check out general maintenance or diy and search a/c you will learn lol

WOW I no the guy you bought it off, im a good friend of his. This is an exellent car that you have got, he took me for a drive a month ago and its great i wish i had it.

Have fun with it :-) Can i ask how much you paid for it in the end????

cheerz

Evans32: Yeah it was Simon I bought it off. Good guy, made the sale pretty easy. Price is between me and Simon, if he chooses to tell you, its up to him >_<

Tim: Absolutely! Im not sure when but we'll need to get together.

Haha, no I dont think I paid too much. I dont think I got a bargain either, I believe I just paid market price. ahh to hell with it.

$15k even is what I paid. I was happy with the price with what the car came with. I could've imported one for cheaper, but felt more comfortable buying locally.

yeah i think its a great price ive had mine little over 15 months and paid 21.5k with only pod front mount and some ghey manual boost controler with ive taken out for a turbotech one

ive just bought coilovers now will install them on sat. morning.

mine is the same year as yours but had about 123,000Km on the clock

so all in all i think you've found a good but because apart from new turbo you've pretty much got it all

    • Hi guys, just after some guidance with an R34 sunroof that has stopped working correctly. It still opens and closes perfectly fine, but it no longer tilts/vents up or down. As a result, the rear of the glass now sags a bit as it drops down slightly in order to retract into the roof, but now it can't pop upwards into a flush position. I’ve probed the pins on the back of the switch connector with a multimeter and it seems like both switches (for open/close and tilt/vent) still work correctly. Any ideas on what it could be, or where I should even start in terms of diagnosing? I'm sure someone's had this issue before but I haven't been able to find anything online relating to this specific issue, most of the issues are with the seals leaking or the motor failing entirely. Thanks in advance!
    • Do you have some data like fuel pressure? It's really hard to say if you're still fighting a fuel system issue at this point. Could be something weird like the FPCM dipping out.
    • Yeah in that case, pulling the dent out. Event a very slight dent can create a lot of work filler-wise and there is a strong chance the panel won't be the factory shape when you are done (as the dent will result in a new high point created somewhere, then everything is brought up to that new high point... but the panel shouldn't be that high if that makes sense).  So you've filled and primed the panel and it is flat, why would you go back and remove the primer and add more filler?
    • Something else I have been faffing with while the car was off the road is making the AC work. Assuming the car isn't at a thermal limit the idea of having AC while waiting in line to go on track sounds delightful. I have actually been lugging around the weight of the entire system since 2018 when the RB25NEO went in without it working at all.  The main reason was in the first few events before I got around to re-gassing it the rubber hose that runs under the manifold had the factory heat wrap/sleeve fail resulting in this: ~2 years ago I purchased a complete used R32 AC line set but when I finally went to install it the line i needed was different where the expansion section is I found a local place that was able to replace the rubber section and re-crimp. They also added some modern heat sleeve to the hose Tight fit but fingers crossed this is the last physical piece of the puzzle needed
    • the top black section is bonded to the silver section with some form of rubber. I assume to isolated NVH from the box
