Nice corvette mate! I've always preferred the 63 and the 69 to any other models, but hey, they are all nice.

Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for it? I've always been interested in owning a corvette, and you see so few of them around Adelaide.

Old friend of the family used to own a red '68 model. I was in love :P

yer thats fine i paid $25,000 three years ago, looking around now you would find it hard getting one for that price. Adelaide is hard to cos as you said not reali that many around, id say $30,000 and you coud get one. if you reali wanted a vet and didnt mind going for a newer model a C4 you can get cheaper

Nice looking cars buddy. Both look the goods.

Almost bought a L34 torana about 10yrs ago but couldnt get the finance for it. I had only started up my truck business a few months before and they wanted me to get a guarantor but my dad said no (doooooww) .

It was white with the black lines down the side (standard L34) and all matching numbers and interior 120,000 kms. Only mod was a ford 9" diff. They were asking $13,500 dollars for it .

I would hate to think what it would be worth now (only made 500 And most were for bathurst)

Also had a LH 202 4 spd torana as my second car (gold with gold hot wires) but it was written of thanks to some bi#*h doing an illegal u turn (an no, not at merino)

What do you think you would get for the torana today?

ur kidding mate!!! i would have killed for the chance to own a L34 for that price, now u would be looking at nearly $100,000 for one!

I have been offered $10,000 for it and $12,000 but seeing as it was my first car i would hate to part wid it. plus all the time my dad, grandpa and i spent on it!

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
