Well he just decreased the value of that car buy 20 or 30 thousand.

A ferrari is a car IMO which you should never customise after it rolls out of the factory. They are a rare car in their own right and don't need aftermarket customisation. Give me the factory spec wheels any day.

yeah man putting mags on a ferrari is the stupidest thing ever it's the biggest wank factor thing ever, hopefully it's not your car cause u just lost like 20-30 grand easy on that stupid lil move there. as they say you pay the money for a complete package why ruin it, especially with a dodgy designed wheel

So why do ferrari offer handling, braking, etc, etc packages for their cars?

Ferrari's are a waste of money. Why would you spend 400,000+ plus on a car then have the dealer say to you

"would you like to get the handling pack as well?"

if you paid that kind of money i'd expect it to handle pretty damn good already.

Think of Ferraris as an overpriced oil painting... to some they are worth a fortune, for others...meh.

Basically when you drive a new Ferrari its like have a big red arrow pointing at you screaming "Ive made it!!!!" :)

If you had a new ferrari and a R34 GTR... your GTR would be daily, while your Fezza would be a weekend drive up to your holiday house at Sorrento.

Optioning a ferrari, and upgrading a ferrari with aftermarket parts are completely different.

If you read my post properly, you would see that I said "A ferrari is a car IMO which you should never customise after it rolls out of the factory.", which means option the hell out of it if you want, but as soon as you take delivery on the thing, don't change anything.

If you have a problem with Ferrari's, thats fine. Don't take my posts out of context though. Exotics should never be modified beyond the factory options IMO.

man driving a ferrari doesn't mean i have made it, it means look at me i'm tryin to be better than you. the guys who really have made it don't need to drive penis extensions to show off what they have, they get around in basic bmw's and stuff in board shorts and a shirt roll into the casino and through 30,000 on the table for fun. people with ferrari's are drivin them for wank factor nothin else.

ferari = 400k

r34 gtr with shitloads of mods = 150k

r34 would blow it out of the water then and still have money left over for a nice house lol

Its not about that... your looking to save money while generally people who can afford a 400 k car dont give two shits as they already have two houses worth 5 mil each.

You can get 10 k car spend 30 k on it and itll blow the R34 GTR out of water...

Ferrari is a prestige car not a way to save money car.. :)

Each to their own... if i had money to burn, Id buy a Ferrari in a jiffy, the last place you'd ever see me though would be a casino.

I'd like to have a lamborghini Murcielago or an Aston Martin DB9 sitting in my garage before I considered a Ferrari.

That being said, if you can afford any of them, chances are you can afford all 3 of them :)

    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
