american's luv their vettes thats for sure..and so many power upgrades. Imagine how quick it would spool up to with the big block..

I used to like them, but seeing some of the older ones on the road these days and even sat in one at a dealer.. not really that impressed. They look pretty old and dated.

A new one of course would be a total different story.

The Z06 will continue to be outfitted with the unique six-speed manual transmission for 2002. It will enable skilled drivers to achieve 0-60 mph times of 3.9 seconds and to cover a quarter mile in 12.4 seconds at 116 mph.

nasty...almost makes a GTR look slow!

thats fair enough i guess u can make any car go fast with 10 grand worth of mod's

but the fact is

most of the 7sec cars even the top fuelers

they r all big block 8s if not big block they r 350s.. u never see much 5 sec 2.6L

at the end of the day

no matter how much boost u run..

its cubic inchs that will get u the power if ur after a FULLY SICKKKK ANIMAL ahhaha

those engines r only good for full throttle and in a straight line.

has no relevance to a street car

zdenko,

is the 91 vette a C4? my old man has an 86 C4 which i think is the same shape and engine and everything as the 91. Goes VERY hard and looks the goods i don't care what anyone says!

Check out the ZR-1 corvette which was a 91-only model that is suped up from the factory and is a bloody beast over the normal vettes (which are beasts anyway!).

Ive sat in a C5 vette and of course my dad's and i prefer the C4 shape and the interior.

thought this seemed relevant...

Waz.

yeh

i love the c4

only problem being it doesnt have the power over da c5 which have the LT1 motors in em

bad point of those motors

compresion to high

to much hassel turboing em

so the c4 looks like the way to go..

i love them

allways been a dream car of mine

i loveee emmm

hahah

is ur dads manual or auto?

what do they do on the 1/4 mile?? any ideaS?

dad's is auto and stock 0-100 is 5.6sec

but he got a chip for $350 when he went to america last year! don;t know quarter but i would expect high 13s or low 14s

do u know of the ZR-1 vette? check this out before you buy anything coz its probably as quick at the TT one...

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
