You say you paid 5 months ago, but you didnt follow it up?

That doesnt make a lot of sense dude.

If you payed for something and didnt get it, you just let it go?

If memory serves me correct you didnt pay, and hence you were removed as a trader.

I cant remember if there was other issue associated but it does ring a bell for some reason

As above Alex.

You paid and had trader access, and it was removed as you failed to continue with your payments. Traders that take advantage of the system by making a single payment to get started then freeloading off the forums until someone chases them have their access removed permanently - We have a strict one chance only policy on this forum.

Furthermore, if my memory is correct, you were observed and warned for tralling the WTB section on various occasions when you were not paid up as a business trader, this isn't on.

If you have gone ahead following that warning and made additional payments but not emailed the payment confirmation to me then the the fault there lies with you.

End of story.

I'm with Blitz and Nis, but if you paid for something and didnt recieve it, then a refund will be made. Please let me know the details of the payment, dates, amount etc and I'll chase it up.

Christian

I think 1 month was paid for. (going by the subscriptions screen in the Admin Panel)

And after i chased it down, thats all that was paid for. So trader access was removed as you cant pay for one month and get a free ride there after.

Thats something im slowly looking at aswell Christian (see the admin section) :D

its alex dickinson here,

ive traded over a million dollars of parts on the forums.

"If you payed for something and didnt get it, you just let it go?"

complete emotional control when something bad happens to you is something that requires a lot of practice.

ive had worst hits on sau, worse was in 2005, a 2k loss to anthony basile, private sale scam. i dont dwell on it, just move on.

My comment was in terms of you paid for forum sponsorship and didnt chase it up.

Thats what i was getting at.

Either way, you cant pay for anything. As at this stage the consensus is we dont want you as a trader.

Too risky for our members as far as Nick & myself see it.

No-one just "becomes" a trader. We look after members as best we can.

    • If go with OVO or similar, you can buy electricity off peak periods of the day for next to nothing, i.e. when the sun is out and everyone is exporting and noone is consuming. I'm also planning to join a VPP and sell back during peak hours. Bro science stacks up, and also the battery inverter has a spare MPPT port, so I could add another solar array. I still have the roof space for at least another 7 panels.
    • I might need to invest in at least another battery, maybe...as the battery going in is a 19.2kWh, which is larger than I initially thought when I replied, the panels are 10.56kW
    • It appeared like someone was well triggered. Seems the way they mention finances, and business the way they do, that there's some major financial insecurities, or just insecurities in general and someone feels they need to try and put people down.
    • My 3.8 kW system (when new, not so much nearly 20 yrs later) will do 21 kWh per day (best few months of the year), and that's with an afternoon shading issue. So it really could/should be able to do maybe 24. So a 6.6 kW system probably cannot fill a 40ish kWh battery from scratch, but then it is very unlikely to ever need to. Let's presume that you use 10-15 kWh during the day and stash the rest. So long as the battery isn't drawn down below ~50%, it'll be fine. And that draw down presumes using 20 kWh overnight, which is a reasonably heavy draw. So that seems reasonable. The 40kWh will be good for extended outages, and very bad days where you get almost no generation for a day or two. Might struggle to top it all the way back up after it gets pulled all the way down though. I'd think you'd probably want about 10 kW of panels to make life a little easier, wrt keeping a 40 kWh battery charged. But then....does it really need to be at 100% every day? Probably not.
