Hey guys, i've tried to search for the answer (cause i've seen it somewhere before!), but cant find it, and Pauls PowerFC resources are down...

My engine light is coming on under full throttle - sometimes when im sliding a bit.

Its not knock - cause i look at the max value on my controller, and its only 15 or so. I dont think its speed, cause max speed was only 80 something...

What other things will cause the PowerFC to light up the engine light?

Duty cycle is dependant on how hard your pushing ur injectors. You can view it in the monitor bit on the hand controller, mine comes on in later gears above 90%ish too. Just becareful you don't get a boost spike or somethin on a cold night n not be able to put enough fuel into the motor! Hopefully its not running much above 90% for you.

its covered in the PFC FAQ (in my sig) but here is what can turn the engine light on;

factory sensors - value is out of range, not working or faulty

knocking over 60

injector duty over 98%

airflow meter max 5.0v

so if your TPS dies it will throw on the check light and highlight TPS under SENSOR/SW CHECK in black

if the AFM dies it will throw on the check light and highlight AFM1 under SENSOR/SW CHECK in black

Paul - i know its in your powerfc resource, i mentioned that in my first post, but if you click on the link in your signature you'll notice its not working, due to sau site upgrades.

Ta for the reply, i will look closely at my powerfc sensor values to see what it might be.

Is there another link that works to get to your powerfc resource? I remember seeing some pics of how ppl had pulled apart their controllers and mounted their LCD+buttons.

So paul, my rb25 AFM hits about 5005mV, I hear they max out at 5100mV yes? Hitting 5V is aOK?

I've just got a turbo-back exhaust, fmic, pod, 12psi, PFC, stock pump & injectors and I'm only getting 82% inj duty cycle, knock reads 15 max. I know the knock is safe and apparently the inj duty is all cool to.

Is all that in the norm to you?

Cheers

    • Out of curiosity, how do you cover up the inspection hole? Surely it doesn't sit open like that, right? With grime and dirt coming in and oil going out?
    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
